Lucas was a true professional, always showed class and integrity, never complained and clearly loves the club and city. If he was born in Liverpool he would be regarded as a legend. Wish him the best and hope he does really well in whatever he does, a true servant of the club.

At times he got a lot of flak from the fans, many in this forum, me included.

In the end, many of us began to appreciate his commitment to the club and forgave the fact he wasn't the most talented player we ever had, even though, with hindsight, many of us may have under appreciated his contribution.

Can only wish all the best to him and his family

Sorry, Lucas was average at best - Italian football suits him because its played mostly as a ponderous pace.
No top club in the PL ever wanted him and there is a reason why- his lack of ability.
