Paris Saint-Germain are growing confident of sealing a sensational swoop for Neymar in a world-record £196million deal.

The French club are willing to trigger the Barcelona and Brazil star's release clause of €222m (£196m), pay a signing on fee of £45m and offer a five-year deal worth £596,000 a week after tax.

   

The transfers being backed by a government. They're essentially giving him the money to pay for his owner release clause so it's not officially a transfer - he's technically going to be a free agent before signing for PGS.

If that doesn't expose FFP for what it is then nothing else will. All it's done is encourage clubs to layer deals in a way to not directly relate to transfers. City and Etihad is another obvious one. This rule is encouraging this behaviour. What a joke

Go and read how much his oul fella will pocket out of this transfer... It's f'kin nuts, period.

Regardless of how they spin it, PSG will have to sell a number of their players to finance this deal. Most of the big clubs get around the FFP through the sponsorship deals they sign, PSG are no different.

Club sale to people that have means and will to go toe to toe with these big hitters.

Short if that we will just tread water with FSG until they have opportunity and are ready to cash in on their project.

I cannot understand how a seemingly intelligent Jim Ratcliffe is and that he would see value in that team to invest 1.25 billion for a 25% share. The stadium is crumbling and in need of serious investment, they have a crippling amount of debt and a squad that is in need of a complete overhaul. He will be in charge of spending the money so I see it all ending in tears considering who owns the other 75%.
