Currently on goals scored we're second in the league, on goals conceded we're joint 16th !

Unless our defence tightens up we'll finish a disappointing 5th .

I was going to post this same thing yesterday, and it about sums us up. Happily we are on a +goal difference which we did not achieve last year until game 30 (or something like that). I read an article about how we may score 100 goals this season but rather than two players (Suarez and Sturridge) they spread out the goals throughout the team and it was not as far fetched as it may seem. If we can somehow cut out the silly errors we may have a team that can truly challenge. As a team we are better that when Suarez was here. Big match on Friday against a team that gives little away so it will be interesting how we get on.

We havent had a settled defence since the start of the season. Once Lovren is back,  hopefully we can play the same defence week in week put and that should hopefully improve things defensively. Defence is one area where you need fimiliarity. However some of the goals we have conceded so far is just really poor play so hopefully the players can work on concentrating for the whole 90 mins

The defensive issues all start in the sticks for me. Migs isn't up to it. Never has been. With Karius now fit again, I'm hoping we'll give the guy a run in goal to see if he can prove himself.

Perhaps our next match (away at Chelsea) is not the best proving ground for him, but I'd certainly look to introduce him for the League Cup match at Derby and see how he does from there.

If Klopp manages to get us 4th it will be a good season imo.
Onwards and upwards.

Wheres our new LB ? Wheres our new CM ? Is Karius a starter or backup to Mignolet ? Is Klavan an improvement on Matip, Skrtel, Sakho, Toure ? Mane seems like a decent player for a club with no title ambitions, where does his signing leave Lallana who imo is one of our better players. Wijnaldum will either play higher up or as one of 3 in the middle meaning 2 of Can, Lucas, Stewart, Grujic, Henderson, Milner; Can aside, the rest of the players on that list would only earn transfers to bottom half clubs. Will Sturridge stay fit?  Not good enough

If Mane didn't get injured he would have been close to 17-20 goals.
