We will face Newcastle im sure if not next then in the Semis.

Anyhow good win, should have scored a lot more.

When you've got the likes of both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Southampton etc still left in the tournament getting Newcastle wouldn't be a bad draw. Obviously it wouldn't be easy but I'd much rather draw them than say, City or Arsenal away.

With tough teams in the comp there is still a long way to go. I would prefer we avoid city aswel and would hope they eventually get knocked out. Due to last yr final they just feel like a bogey team for us in this comp.

While I rather not I wouldn't be too fazed drawing teams like Citeh.

As they still early on in their CL campaign. Their  league cup side may end being easier to deal with then a lower league side looking for a prize scouse scalp

A-A is going to be a massive star. His passing is from the school of Gerrard. His defending is also excellent. He looked a lot better than Clyne and that is a big compliment. My MOTM !!

Bit disappointed with Ejaria. Expected more from him.

Danny could have had a handful. Either Klopp accepts the way that Danny plays and that he scores goals or I think we will lose him. His body language says a lot and it isn't good.

Thought Mig had a good game and I certainly don't think Karius is the better keeper at the moment.

Origi impressed and the future looks bright.

Lucas had a great game. Shame about the silly penalty.

Decent overall performance.

Unfortunately some still said he was not impressed with the youngster...not sure if they are watching the same game, or really understand football  :no

To me, Sturridge was MOTM but he could have done so so much better. Was all over the place and heavily involved in most of our dangerous moves. TAA was very solid, Origi have pace to spare but Migs delivery especially to our defenders who was being quickly closed down did worried me

Yep, no tie is a gimme but getting drawn at home against a championship side is about the best anyone could hope for in the QF's of a cup competition. The fact that it's our old arch rivals Leeds just adds that extra bit of interest.
When I was a lad Liverpool v Leeds was the biggest game in the country.

I was at my local teams Fleetwood v Leeds EFL game in the first round, lost on pens and a very close affair.

On that evidence of Leeds we should have absolutely no problems providing team selection isnt too risky, and frankly I would expect us to really go for this trophy now with no European football. No messing about.

Leeds are on a small run at the moment and they'd love to take our scalp. Lt's not under estimate them....
