Top 4 Points Tracker

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

6 games gone, 13 points on the board.
Going by jacdaniel's original estimate that we need to accrue an average of 4 points every 2 games to finish in the CL places we are a point ahead of schedule (which is tremendous going considering who we have played).

Indeed, a fantastic start to the season!
I thought we looked a little bit unfit in the opening 2 games but since then we've played really really good.
1 point up is brilliant considering the tough games and the away games we've already played.

Superb, keep it above 2 ppg's and we'll be in the mix.

Yep, going along at an average of 2.22 points per game which is phenomenal considering over half our games have been against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester and United.

Should we be able to keep up this rate (2.22) then we can potentially end up with 84 points....

That should be good enough for direct qualification into the Champions League and possibly even the title.

I am getting a little greedy here. Hahahahhahaha!

10 games gone, 23 points on the board (2.3 pts per game av.)
Going by jacdaniel's original estimate that we need an average of 4 points every 2 games to finish in the CL places, I can proudly announce that we are currently 3 points ahead of schedule!

I wonder how many points will the title winners have this season.

Past few years

Leicester 81
Chelsea 87
City 86
Man utd 89
City 89
Man Utd 80
Chelsea 86
Man utd 90
Man utd 87
Man utd 89
Chelsa 91

The way things are going this season i think the winners will be close to the 90 point mark.

Was waiting for that comment Kazza :D. Remember back in Rodgers' season when we almost won it, it used to bring us luck :D

Anyway, we're 5 points ahead of Spurs and 8 ahead of the scum, our 2 direct rivals for top 4 finish. But I think we're all starting to think in different directions than just a top 4 finish as games go by...

I agree but I figured we can take it a step at a time. Hopefully when we reach the goal we can say " 1 more than we need" etc  :grinning:

In all seriousness though, this team just seems better than that  team across the board, I hope we can see it through this time.
