Tough tough tough match this one, I was just watching the pre match press conference (it's not available to post at the time of writing this) and some interesting points from JK regarding injuries and Sturridge

Klopp on Sturridge: "Why do you ask things like this? I don't want to play Daniel as a wide player but he can play there. Burnley/Burton weren't games where I needed offensive winger. It wasn't a fixed position for him. There is absolutely no problem. It's not that you play there and wait until something happens. It's flexible football. It's about getting in and around the box. Daniel is a very smart player. He's good at getting himself into positions where it's not easy to defend. Few players in a bit of doubt. Next game in 2 days so we need to wait a little bit. Emre, nothing really serious. But it's ankle Can has had problems with in past. It's the same situation with Divock. It's not for sure they'll be available. This game is completely different to the last 2 we played. There are a pressing team. They don't give away a lot of spaces. This game is completely different to the last 2 we played. There are a pressing team. They don't give away a lot of spaces. Most important stage in early part of season is to get rhythm. We needed to use every minute (v Burton). We have become more experienced (since his 1st game at White Hart Lane). We feel stronger together, we've had good moments together"

So looks like JK is not totally ruling out Can and Origi but look's a little touch and go

Big match this one to set out where we will really be in the pecking order of things

Nothing less than a point from this game please, come on the reds  :buttrock

After the debacle at Burnley there's a bit of pressure on us to at least get a draw out of this game. The likes of United and City have got very winnable games (United are away to Hull, City are at home to West Ham) and if they both win and we lose there will be 6 point gap between us and the top sides already, after just 3 games!
6 points isn't a massive gap but with our next 2 fixtures after the international break being Leicester then Chelsea (A) if we are not careful that gap could almost become unbridgeable.
This is what throwing away cheap points to newly promoted sides does to you, it puts you under pressure.

2-1 win. We nearly always bounce back after a ***** result. These kind of games are not a problem and I actually feel more confident when we play the likes of spurs, arsenal, city etc. It's the midtable and below teams which are a problem, maybe through a combination of them making it much more difficult for us and ourselves maybe expecting to turn up an just win. You have to fancy us in a game where both sides are going for it

Bit of an anniversary of sorts for Jurgen this one too as Spurs away was his first game in charge of us.

Whichever Liverpool turns up you can guarantee the neutral will enjoy the game

Any news on Couts? FF have him and Can down as a doubt. Could do with Can, we're horrible exposed without someone protecting the back 4

Coutinho, Origi and Can are all listed in the "physio room" as being expected back 27/8.

Don't know  whether they'll be ready to start against against Spurs or just form part of the bench.

Spurs have only one player listed as injured, 1st choice keeper Loris.

Yeah, Dembele is like Bolassie in the sense that he always seems to save his best performances for us.

It will ba very difficult game for Liverpool in all departments, It will be lucky to end up with a draw!, there is no chance to get a win, with Clyne and Moreno in team!.

As for Sturridge stupid comments, well I do rate the player very highly, but he need to look at himself before making such statement!, He was awful against Burnley and he had cost us the second goal for not holding the ball and CF should have done!.
I agree he is the best finisher in LFC squad, no one comes near him.

Well!
We go again...
Where; Like many of us I'm unsure where that is?
----
In recent years, LFC has been the boogey man too Spuds and they are due a win against us.
With their squad I don't think anyone should begrudge them that.
----
For LFC football reasons a well hard earned 0-0 draw would be a great moral victory for us.
COME ON THE REDMEN

Spurs up for this one. Playing us at our own game and doing it better than us. They do seem to be exposed on the counter, so that may be where our goals need to come from.
