DANIEL STURRIDGE- Official thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby LFC1990 » Fri Nov 13, 2015 8:10 pm

His club career he has a goal ratio of a goal every 2.5 games

If we are talking stats that's someone who I would want to replace sturridge

To be honest we should have bought him instead of Balotelli

Vardy over Balotelli or Remy, could have got him for not much more than Ings who is younger but vastly inferior.

I gave Vardy as a shout 18 months/2years ago on here, red hot player and you couldn't get anyone in the world to high press
more than him. Works his sack off.

We know not everyone can hack it at Liverpool but it wouldn't be for the lack of trying for a player like him, any passing Southport
fans would shudder at the thought mind.

On thread Sturridge is a brilliant player and a match for anyone on his day but only wrapped in cotton wool and patience is wearing
thinner by the day.

I dreamed that we bought torres back. At first he couldn't get games and ppl were criticising why we bought an over the hill player. But In one game, he was subbed in at half time and scored 4 goals. From then onwards he kept scoring and scoring...

Geez... I guess it's my yearning for the team to have a prolific scorer again!

Lol nice dream.

My dream would be DS staying injury free. No need then to dream about any other striker.

He's back in full training with the squad, it will probably take him a week or two to build up his general fitness but there's a chance he might play some role the weekend. Hendo is in light training, no timeline yet on his return.
I know Danny is ridiculously injury prone but he's definately one of the best 2 or 3 players at the club, if he can stay fit for the rest of the season the chances of us finishing 4th increase exponentially.

I agree a fit DS will give us a massive boost for top4 aspirations or even a trophy this season.
I just hope the lad will get some luck on his side and stay injury free for remainder of the season.

Keep him coming off the bench until January, but we definitely need to get a goal scorer in case he goes down again.

It's like getting a clapped out car back from the mechanic and being told its ok now but expect trouble again in 500 miles. Get rid.

Are we really surprised?

You will get more resilience out of a packet of crisps.

He is done. Klopp needs to sell him and move on.

He literally is made of glass. I heard he felt his foot wasn't right or something. Im wondering is it something physical or a mental thing now.

He's made 5 appearances so far this season.

From August 1st to end November he's been paid 120k a week, ie 16 weeks = 1.92 million or 384,000 per appearance.
He's the highest paid fooballer in the country.

As someone in the Echo said, 'He's made of crisps'.

Get rid, he's simply too expensive.

Can't defend him any more. Just hope he's back as soon as possible.
