Great speech by Everton's chairman, Bill Kenwright at the memorial. Our owner Henry couldn't say two words without reading.

Not the thread to have a cheap dig at the owner.

Show some respect

I expected more from him to be honest. You're right though, I apologize.

April 15th will always be a poignant day in the history of Liverpool Football Club as we remember the fallen, the survivors, the loss of innocence, the tragedy and the subsequent 24 years fighting for truth, The last year has brought that truth and many blinkered eyes and deceived minds have been opened to the shocking cover up.

Of the 96 victims 89 were male and 7 were female. In respect of age the vast majority were under 30 and a third under 20 years of age. Its an appalling loss of young lives under any circumstances never mind at a sporting event.

The next year will finally bring the justice that the 96 and their loved ones deserveand people in authority will be held accountable for their failings on that terrible day.

Then and only then may we know that the 96 can truly Rest In Peace................It's been too long a wait.

So many years of lies, cover ups and denial. Heart breaking when all they had to say was sorry.

RIP.

Justice at last. Huge commendation to everyone involved in the campaign - you have stood up in the face of adversity, from the media and others, and stood up for what you believed (and knew!). Not many could have withstood this and huge credit must go to those for that. A fight fought over 27 years and finally justice is on it's way

This is just a step, prosecution is the next
