Samuel Garcia has emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool.

The 24-year-old winger, better known as Samu, is enjoying a impressive season with Malaga, scoring four goals in 29 appearances, and such displays have caught the eye of Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, according to reports in Spain.

Garcia's efforts this term have not gone unnoticed elsewhere, either, with league rivals Tottenham and Chelsea also understood to be monitoring the player's progress, but it is the Anfield side who are more likely to make an opening offer for the midfielder.

Malaga are likely to be reluctant to sell Garcia, but the imposing figure of a club like Liverpool could make the opportunity one which is simply too good to turn down.

Barcelona defender Martin Montoya has told the Spanish outfit he wants to leave this summer amid reports Liverpool are chasing him.

The 23-year-old's agent has previously said his client would seek to move away from the Camp Nou at the end of the season if he was not given more game time by coach Luis Enrique.

Having made just six league appearances this season, Montoya is thought to have now told Barca he wants to go and he is ready to listen to offers from interested parties.

Liverpool have been linked with the defender for the past 18 months and, according to the Metro, will be the first club to make Montoya an offer once he hits the market.

Arsenal are also believed to be keen on the Spaniard and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers could face a tough fight to land one of his long-term targets, especially if the Merseysiders miss out on Champions League qualification.

AC Milan have joined Liverpool in declaring their interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile.

Immobile only made the move to Germany last summer following an outstanding season in Serie A with Torino, but he has fallen out of favour with Jurgen Klopp.

The Italian forward has mustered just three Bundesliga goals in 17 appearances and has found himself on the fringe of the first team squad in recent weeks with Dortmund languishing in the bottom half after a disappointing season.

Speculation also intensified about the Italian's future after recent reports suggested the 25-year-old had put his German home up for sale.

While Liverpool are known admirers, Milan appear to be the front-runners for Immobile's signature and are reportedly willing to pay £13m for him in the summer.

Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic is desperate to join Liverpool, according to reports.

Liverpool have sent scouts to watch the Croatian and have been impressed enough to prepare a bid for the £23m-rated midfielder.

Manchester United and Arsenal have also been keeping tabs on him but reports suggest he is keen on a switch to Anfield ahead of any other Premier League destination.

Brendan Rodgers has been given another boost with transfer target Martin Montoya reportedly telling Barcelona that he wants to move away from the club in the summer.

Montoya has played just six times in La Liga this campaign and has decided to bring his time at the Nou Camp to an end.

Liverpool have watched the full-back for the past 18 months and would be expected to make a move for him at the end of the season.

James Milner will quit Manchester City this summer and sign for Liverpool, write Steve Bates and Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

And that could see champions City accelerate a £35million move for another England star – Everton’s Ross Barkley.

England midfielder Milner has made up his mind to call time on his career at the Etihad Stadium for a fresh challenge.

And it’s almost certain he will make the £125,000-a-week switch to Anfield to help plug the gap left by Steven Gerrard’s end-of-season exit to LA Galaxy.

Despite the offer of a new contract several weeks ago – as well as efforts by Blues' manager Manuel Pellegrini and director of football Txiki Begiristain to persuade him to stay – sources close to the star were last night saying he will leave at the end of the campaign.

It will be a blow to City fans who, along with Pablo Zabaleta, rate the popular star as one of their most honest performers.

But it is a bigger set-back to City’s quota of English players.

Having lost Gareth Barry, Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair in the past couple of season’s, City’s stock of English players will be at record low levels once Milner departs.

Milner has been assured by Liverpool he will have chances to play a central midfield role, although he has not been guaranteed exclusive rights to the position.

Kop boss Brendan Rodgers - whose interest in signing Milner was first revealed by the Sunday People last summer – reckons his experience, energy and reputation will be a good influence on his young players as Liverpool move forward after the Gerrard era.

For City, though, it will shape their summer transfer strategy, with England midfielder Barkley sure to be a higher priority once Milner announces he is leaving.

Liverpool are preparing a £15million bid for Derby midfielder Will Hughes, according to reports.

Hughes, 19, has impressed for the Championship outfit this season, who currently sit fifth in the league.

With no wins in six, however, Derby are plummeting, and Brendan Rodgers in considering making a move for Hughes if the Rams fail to achieve promotion.

The England prospect is desperate for Premier League football, but the Reds would reportedly have to spend in excess of £15million to bring him to Anfield.

Liverpool are now 'confident' of sealing the signing of Danny Ings at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Reds have been desperate to agree a deal for Ings, who is out of contract at Burnley this summer, and is keen to move on.

Real Sociedad have made a rival bid while Manchester United are also keen, but reports say Liverpool are now 'confident' of getting the transfer over the line.

Ings has apparently set his heart on a move to Anfield and will sign on the dotted line at the end of the campaign.

Liverpool are lining up a shock deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Oscar, according to reports.

The Reds are turning their attention to next season and have made strengthening their midfield a priority.

And reports say Chelsea's Brazilian ace Oscar is a target, with Brendan Rodgers a huge fan.

Any deal would be complicated, with the Blues not wanting to sell to a rival, but Liverpool could tempt them with a big cash offer.

Atletico Madrid are also keen on Oscar, who is still rated by Jose Mourinho, despite enduring a frustrating second half to the season.

Liverpool could be tempted back into the pursuit of Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto after it was revealed he could snub a move to Juventus.

Brazilian stopper Neto is highly sought after and recently revealed he won't be extending his stay in Florence once his contract expires this summer.

Liverpool are keen admirers of the 25-year-old but withdrew their interest last week when it became apparent he wanted to stay in Italy.

However, Juve have reportedly made it clear that Neto would be an understudy to long-serving goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who has no desire to give up his place between the sticks.

Roma have also enquired into Neto's availability, which, according to reports in Italy, highlights Juve's weakened position in the race to land the 6ft 3in stopper.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodger is seeking to bolster his goalkeeping options and Club Bruges goalkeeper Matthew Ryan remains on the radar of Reds scouts.

However, it appears Neto is still their preferred option to provide competition for Simon Mignolet and Rodgers could be tempted into making an offer now Juve's stance has been made known.

Liverpool are considering a shock bid for Barcelona's unwanted defensive midfielder Alex Song.

The Reds are seeking to strengthen their midfield in the impending absence of captain Steven Gerrard, who will leave Anfield for LA Galaxy this summer.

And Song, according to the Liverpool Echo, will be pursued by Brendan Rodgers' staff come July with the aim of securing a permanent transfer.

Chelsea are also known suitors of the former Arsenal player, who is currently on loan at West Ham United, where he has caught the eye of Blues scouts.

The 27-year-old is seen as a possible back-up for Nemanja Matic, who has managed to hold down the role in Jose Mourinho's central midfield this season.

West Ham are thought to be considering a permanent bid too but know they are facing an uphill task as Song seeks a return to Champions League football.

And although that would give Chelsea the edge over Liverpool - who currently site five points off a top-four finish in the Premier League - the Reds could still place an offer at Barcelona's door.

Liverpool and Arsenal have been told: Pedro is yours for £15m.

Barcelona winger Pedro, 27, is a long-term target of the Premier League duo. And Barca are now ready to cash in on the 2010 World Cup winner.

Pedro still has another 15 months in his Nou Camp contract.

And while Barca have no plans to force Pedro out this summer they won't stand in his way if one of his suitors meet their £15m asking price.

Pedro was once one of Barca's main men but has slipped down the pecking order and become increasingly frustrated by his lack of game time.

He has been squeezed out of Luis Enrique's starting eleven with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar all ahead of him.

Italians Juventus are also keen on Pedro along with Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool will have scouts in attendance on Tuesday when Bosnia take on Austria as they make yet another check on Miralem Pjanic.

Roma midfielder Pjanic is believed to be the Reds' number one transfer target for the summer having earmarked him as a possible successor to current skipper Steven Gerrard, who will leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Roma are desperate to keep hold of Pjanic and have previously told Liverpool they will need to pay a fee of £37million if they want to take him away from the Stadio Olimpico, putting the brakes on manager Brendan Rodgers' transfer plans.

Reports last week indicated Pjanic is ready to call time on his four-year stay with the Serie A outfit though, and that has given the Reds renewed hope they can do a deal for the talented 24-year-old.

The Merseyside outfit have therefore sent scouts to watch Pjanic in action for his nation Bosnia when they face Austria in a friendly in Vienna.

Liverpool will not be alone in having representatives at the international friendly, with reports from Bosnia suggesting Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan will all have scouts in attendance.

Liverpool are reportedly set to make an offer to sign Alex Song from Barcelona at the end of the season.

Song, who is currently on-loan at West Ham, has impressed this term but the Hammers are struggling to find the cash to sign him permanently.

Chelsea have been linked with a bargain £10million deal, but reports now say Liverpool have entered the race and are looking to seal a summer move.

Song would command wages of £80,000-a-week but Liverpool could easily cover that and with Steven Gerrard departing, a reliable midfield dynamo is a must.

ROMA midfielder Radja Nainggolan admits there's a '50 per cent chance' he'll leave in the summer.

Liverpool have reportedly been keeping tabs on the Belgian international this term and are keen on a summer move.

Roma acquired half of Nainggolan's registration from Cagliari in the summer for just £7m following a successful loan spell last season.

Both clubs are understood to value their share of the 26-year-old at £15m.

"Will I stay at Roma?" Nainggolan considered. "At the moment there's a 50 per cent chance.

"However, I'm not worried as there's still time. Roma and Cagliari have to find an agreement.

"I'm 100 per cent focused on Roma, it's a great club, a great team and a beautiful city to live in."

Real Madrid are set to rival Liverpool for the signature of Javier Pastore this summer.

The Argentina international has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot at Paris Saint-Germain this season, with competition for places proving high.

The Reds are closely monitoring the situation and have reportedly sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old in action this term.

But, according to El Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are now considering a move for Pastore when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season.

The former Palermo man's contract is set to expire in 2016 and PSG are concerned he may not agree to an extension.

For that reason the French champions are considering offloading the Argentinean this summer and recouping some of the £32m they paid for him in 2011.
