Think both Lambert and Ojo will go out on loan, but no incoming, not without selling first.

I wouldn't expect we will do anything at all. At least nothing that will knock someone else out of a start.
Sooner it closes the better.

In fairness BR said all along we wouldn't buy anyone. It was just the papers who linked us with 238,000 players.

Liverpool FC deadline day transfer gossip sees Hull attempting to make a last minute loan for striker Rickie Lambert - and should that happen Brendan Rodgers will reportedly swoop for French striker André-Pierre Gignac.

Marseille striker Gignac has been in red-hot form for the Ligue 1 club this season and reports on the continent suggest Brendan Rodgers will try and beat Arsenal to his signature.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Gignac in the summer but Rodgers will try his luck before tonight's 11pm deadline.

The 29-year-old has scored 14 times in just 23 league appearances this season for Marseille but Liverpool chiefs face an uphill battle convincing the French club to sell

Gignac could replace Rickie Lambert in Liverpool's squad with Hull keen to take the England international on loan.

Lambert, 33 later this month, has so far snubbed any chance of leaving Liverpool in this window as he wants to stay and fight for his place.

But that has not dissuaded the Tigers who have come in to try and do a deadline beating move to ease their relegation crisis.

Crystal Palace and West Brom have also tried to take Lambert on loan but have been knocked back.

Lambert knows his England place is in jeopardy as he has struggled to play regularly this season at Anfield and Daniel Sturridge is now back to fitness.

Brendan Rodgers is also keeping a keen eye on Hannover skipper Lars Stindl since his return from injury, claims talkSPORT.

A versatile and hard-working midfielder, Stindl is now playing in a slightly more advanced role and it has paid off, with the player notching three goals and two assists in just seven appearances.

Real Madrid assistant boss Paul Clement has ruled out a move for Raheem Sterling but can understand why the Liverpool star is being linked with the Spanish giants.

The Express reports that Sterling's contract discussions have stalled in the past week, resulting in several rumours surrounding the England international's future.

"Real Madrid are always going to be linked with some of the best players and also some of the best emerging young talents," Clement said.

Sterling's current contract with Liverpool is set to expire in the summer of 2017.

Finally, Arsenal are set to ‘go all out’ to sign Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi ahead of Liverpool, according to reports.

The Gunners have been tracking out-of-favour Madrid man Illarramendi for weeks and are now keen to agree a deal to sign him in the summer.

Liverpool are lining up an £18million bid to get him now, with reports claiming they’re confident of a deal, but suggestions are in Spain that Arsenal will throw everything at this transfer to get it done for the end of the season.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both reportedly weighing up a late transfer offer for in-form Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Gignac, 29, is currently set to become a free agent at the end of the season, and has consequently been linked with a number of high-profile European clubs.

The French international has scored 14 goals in 23 games for the Ligue 1 title contenders this season, and according to reports in Spain and Italian newspaper Tuttosport, both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in picking up the striker at what could be a knock-down price.

Although Liverpool were able to call on Daniel Sturridge again on Saturday, signing Gignac would help them avoiding having to rely on Raheem Sterling in the centre-forward position, while the ex-Toulouse man has long been a mooted target for Arsene Wenger.

Whether or not the Premier League duo can convince Marseille to part with Gignac before the end of the season remains to be seen, but the prospect of losing him for nothing in June may be enough to get them to sell up.

Liverpool are reportedly still in contention to make a deadline-beating bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Anfield club were handed a major boost in their pursuit of Lavezzi after rivals Napoli pulled out of the running, leaving Liverpool as the clear favourites for the Argentine's signature.

Laurent Blanc is thought to be willing to let the forward go after disciplining him for missing a winter training camp, and according to the Independent a £14 million bid could be enough to secure the 29-year-old's services.

Whether or not the Reds can get a deal done before the transfer deadline remains to be seen.

Arda Turan has put the Premier League big boys on alert.

The Turkey star is reportedly fed up with life in Spain.

The 28-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, has been at Atletico Madrid since 2011.

He helped them win La Liga last season and get to the Champions League final.

However, according to reports in Spain he has fallen out with Diego Simeone.

And the reports say he could be ready to force through a move away from the Vicente Calderon.

However with tonight's deadline only hours away he may have to stay put until the summer.

Liverpool are preparing a last-ditch bid for Real Madrid outcast Asier Illarramendi.

Illarramendi is also wanted by Arsenal, and Manchester United, however according to reports in Spain Liverpool are prepping a move this afternoon.

The Spanish midfielder has struggled for game time in Carlo Ancelotti's side and Madrid have added Lucas Silva and Martin Odegaard to their squad.

Illarramendi cost around €32m in 2013 and the 24-year-old was expected to be a star following an impressive showing in the U21 European Championships that season.

However any move from Liverpool would need to tied up quickly with the transfer deadline ticking down.
