Not with City, Chelsea, Spurs, Everton and Southampton out I wouldn't!
The extra game is frustrating I know but we have still got a great chance of winning the oldest cup competition in world football, we will still be favourites to beat them at their place and we'll have Sturridge back by then.
We are in the hat for the next round and that's all that counts.

Never want a loss, we will turn them over at Bolton, should have paid more attention to this game though

We'll f*ck em up at theirs no doubt about that, it's just that I really hate these early cup games that always take a lot of energy out of our players, and I don't think that the cup is worth it that much. So regardless if we win or lose, I always just rather have these games over with.

Spot on yakka

I'd love an FA cup win this season and we're in the hat. Weren't at our best today but well stick 3 or 4 past then at their place. But for a bizarre refereeing decision we'd have won... Markovic was taken out start of the second half.

I don't see how that trip on Markovic was so unnoticed. He took out both his legs. Yes the ball is going towards the keeper, but he still has a chance of getting to it, and if there's any chance of him getting to the ball then there's no reason he shouldn't have been sent off for that.

In the end we were dreadfully wasteful. Sterling was the worst of the bunch, but Hendo, Lallana, even Can and Markovic were guilty at squandering good chances.

Why do think we have a problem shooting, we have had 44 chances at goal in the past two games and scored 1 goal, those statistics are just not good enough. We don't have a player who you think 'goal' when they have a shooting chance like Gerrard was at his peak.

The ref was rubbish, he didn't want to make the big decisions, easier to wave them on.

Not the thread but it all goes back to BR ...Did he really believe we can go ahead winning without signing a quality striker? And when is Daniel returning????

Yeah mate that was a terrible decision by the ref he clearly took Markovic out with his trailing leg, what's more we had a penalty shout turned down that was very similar to the one Hazard got last Tuesday  :glare:
The fixtures are starting to pile up but at the end of the day that's what we should want, this backlog of fixtures is a sign that we are going far in cup competitions and as far as I'm concerned long may it continue!

Identical to Chelsea just it was Bolton.

Dealt with our intricate one touch play pretty comfortably but no cutting edge.

Sturridge will be a huge boost but we need at least two more on level to be a top side and its all down to
the owners really and if they will pay up.

Makings of a really good team but possession doesn't win games and class goal scorers cost more than we are willing
to pay.

I love the FA Cup , anything can happen. we still looked good in our game and I am fed up of keepers have the game of their life against us, some of the save they have made at Anfield have been stunning. Yes w could of hit some of them better but I am not going to take anything away from the last two keepers.

I have said it before we always find it hard to beat teams that start with B in any cup games.

The replay is live on BBC1, Wednesday 4th February, 7:45pm kick off, this is not ideal considering we face Everton in the merseyside derby 3 days later.

This is what I was talking about man, we're going to be playing twice a week for an entire month, and not an easy game in sight! I hate reverse fixtures. I hope the boys can take it.

Still, not a bad draw for a fifth round tie, usually we've been drawn away to Arsenal or United by this stage.
