Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Sat Sep 20, 2014 8:18 pm

Mingolet 4 - had a poor game, didn't even attempt to save the lob
Manquillo 4 - wasn't on long enough to make a judgement really
Lovren - 4 brought in to marshall our defence but we've arguably gone backwards since his inclusion, not sure why he is seen as a cast iron starter.
Skrtel - 4 rusty and it showed
Moreno - 5 not his best game but still made one goal saving challenge
Lucas - 3 to be fair he's hardly played but that was poor
Hendo - 4 probably his worst performance in 18 months
Gerrard - 3 awful but not helped by a manager that won't protect him, stats show that he didn't win one single tackle in the entire game, and he's the DM.
Sterling - 6 decent performance, not at the top of his game but scored a Carlos Alberto-esque cracker
Balotelli - 6 by far our liveliest player in the first half, decent second half too
Borini - 3 tried hard but out of his depth

Subs

Sakho - 4 was doing okay until that mistake at the end, helped steady the ship somewhat when he came on and wasn't part of the farce in the first ten minutes which earns him a few points
Lallana - 5 nothing earth shattering but one of our better players when he came on, which isn't saying much
Lambert - 4 didn't have much of an impact, mind you he got no service

Mingolet 3 - The only thing missing is a big red nose
Manquillo 4 - little chance to see him
Lovren - 5 Desperately in need of a defender with a touch of nous and composure alongside him ,bring back Ilori
Skrtel - 4 All over the place
Moreno - 5 Prevented a certain goal ,but not at his best earlier
Lucas - 3 Wasteful and no appetite for the fight .
Hendo - 4 Better in the second half ,but looked a distance away from the Hammerz walkover that ensued in the first.
Gerrard - 2 Once again 90 minutes for the worst player on the pitch, the manager needs to wise up as this little love affair may cost him his job .
Sterling - 6 Great goal ,and should have started alongside Balotelli ,should be only one of two Liverpool players who can look at themselves in a mirror tonight
Balotelli -7 Second mirror gazer ,and our most composed player ,and never stopped trying ,will be better when alongside Sturridge.
Borini - 3 I personally think Poyet is out of his tree coveting this player.

Subs

Sakho - 4 His header which led to their third and game killer was a mistake you don't see happen in Sunday League game
Lallana - 5 Changed the game a touch ,but I dont think Rodgers has a clue how to best utilise his shiny new toy ,likewise Markovic who should have started
Lambert 4 ,Should have been introduced much earlier ,as at least he gave us the illusion of presence in and around the box

mingolet- 3 its a disgrace that we got shut of pepe for him.
manquillo- 3 got found out, that valencia lad shredded him everytime.
skrtel - 3 not a good return to 1st team, we can blame it on fitness seen as it works for lallana
lovren - 3 overated and overpriced. no where near the defensive leader he's made out to be
moreno - 3 just wants to go forward and left massive gaps behind when he did.
gerrard - 3 refuse to blame it entirely on him but he was terrible
henderson - 4 run, jockey, jockey, jockey, run, jockey, jockey, jockey and does nothing else except more running and more jockeying
lucas - 2 when you see him starting its a sure sign we spunked so much money in the last 3 years
sterling - 4 sweet finish but didnt do much else
ballotelli - 4 needs to work on his understanding with whats happening around him.
borini - 3 get off when your told lad and seriously check your deluded self. one chance and you thought you could be a superstar instead of put it across the box

traore - 2 totally out of his depth at this level. he's just terrible
lallana - 4 we did improve when he came on but i didnt necessarily think he was the cause.
lambert - 3 doesnt bring any thing to that system and is really beginning to struggle.

really shocked with that tonight, especially after villa and ludogorets. you can't gloss over that performance in any way as it was just awful in all areas  :nod

Skrtel - 4 Still injured?
Moreno - 5 Shellshocked from start, never recovered
Lucas - 1 Picked for LOL's?

Dont if we are doing C.O.C (as an acronym i think its fitting) but here is my take on last night

Migs 5 - Starting to try too hard to comand the box but as a shot stopper again proved his worth
Manquillo 6 - Should never have started only fit RB and at 20yr is being overused and over relied on
Toure 5 - Thought until his last minute mind fart was out best defender
Sakho 4 - I cant understand the difference between the France captain and our Sakho
Enrique 5 - Productive evening, getting back to fitness
Lucas 5 - Two good penaties but lacked any sense of control
Rossiter 8 - Score based on his first start and a goal, looked more composed than his senior CM partner
Markovic 5 - Has he forgotten how to shoot, looks a bit short of pace.
Sterling 6 - Score due to the mistake in the last minute (mental fatigue is a real worry for such a young player)
Lallana 6 - Showed some good touches but needs to learn that once you beat your man dont go back and try again
Lambert 2 - Think making him captain added unnecessary pressure, looked worry in pocession, needs to play without overthinking it

Balotelli 6 - Added directness when replacing Lambert
Suso 7 - Good goal and should have scored another, boy is a real talent.
Wilson 6 - For having the nuts to hit the 1st sudden death penaty the boy must be applauded

Mignolet - 6 - should have done better for the first goal but I think it was more of a team goal that. He had some good saves though
Manquillo - 7 - love this guy but like red said above we shouldn't be overusing him at that age.
Toure - 6 - I though he was solid, had some good recovery tackles but probably could have done better for the penalty
Sakho - 5
Enrique - 6 - a game of ups and downs for him, showed his rustiness but also showed his quality on a few occasions
Lucas - 6 - played OK I felt
Rossiter - 7 - good debut for the lad, gets a point plus for the goal
Markovic - 4 - terrible
Sterling - 6 - played well but point deducted for the stupid mistake
Lallana - 6 - slowly getting back into form. Should play against Everton
Lambert - 4

Subs:
Balotelli - 5 - don't think he did too much bar fall on his ***** a few times
Suso - 7 - can't believe we're thinking about getting rid of this guy without giving him a proper chance
Wilson - 6 - good debut as well

Vs EVERTON 27.09.14

Mignolet - 5 - F*ck all he could have done about the equalizer but never keeps a clean sheet.

Manquillo - 6 - Defends well but never passes forwards.
Lovren - 7 - Best defender on the pitch with Stones.
Skrtel - 6 - Didn't do a lot wrong, done what he had to.
Moreno - 3 - Still can't quite work out why he's in the team. Must be his pace because he has f*ck all else.

Gerrard - 6 - Passed it brilliantly but failed to really dominate. Great free kick.
Henderson - 6 - Covered ground and tried, but same as Gerrard, didn't really stamp authority on the midfield.

Sterling - 7 - Ran the lines well, put in a delightful ball for Mario, was our spark and looked most likely to create.
Lallana - 6 - Better, but at times a bit clueless.
Markovic - 3 - What a signing this lad is looking......

Balotelli - 7 - Great touches and some superb link up, should have scored himself but never a number 9. Needs to play with a partner.

Subs:

Pip - 6 - Didn't create but looked lively, seemed like he's coming back into form.

Liverpool V Everton

Mignolet - 5 - never fills you with confidence, not the right choice for us
Manquillo - 5 - average
Lovren - 7 - was decent today, but guilty of lumping the ball at times
Skrtel - 6 - average performance, seems the preferred partner for lovren
Moreno - 5 - didnt see his sparkling best today
Gerrard - 6 - great freekick, did better today
Henderson - 6 - solid
Sterling - 7 - probably are best attacking player today, again
Lallana - 7 - liked some of what i saw from him, think he will only get better
Markovic - 4 - 20 million ?!? really?
Balotelli - 7 - impressed me at times, shame howard saved his goal bound effort, pleased how he is keeping his cool even when being bated non stop

Subs....

Coutinho - 6 - looked much better that he has of late

Mingolet - 6 no chance with the goal but still had the odd nervous moment like when Skrtel was imploring him to come off his line
Manquillo - 6 did well against a tricky opponent in Mirallas
Lovren - 6 steady game
Skrtel - 6 steady game
Moreno - 7 ignore Stu, this lad had a good game in both defence and attack
Gerrard - 6 steady game, good free kick but Howard made a right meal of it
Henderson - 6 worked hard and even opened Everton up once or twice
Lallana - 6 not at his sparkling best but still looks to be creative
Sterling - 6 again not his best performance ever in a red shirt but tried to be positive
Balotelli - 6 decent game
Markovic - 4 struggling to find his feet a bit
