mingy- 5 is he ever going to cut out these error's ? i dont think so
manquillo - 6 only because he was so far forward at the end to win a dubious penalty. the book says it was but imo referees hide behind it too easy. very soft pen.
lovren - 5 not on your life is he our best defender.
sakho -5 djimi traore all over. he's a big scary lad though, the kind that sacrifices live animals if you get my drift
moreno - 7 did well with his crosses and offered us genuine width. motm for me
gerrard - 5 no real influence, was further forward as well but failed to lead from the midfield. nice pen as always
henderson - 5 all his work is done off the ball with very little happening when he's on it.
coutinho - 4 his passing has just deserted him of late, not the kind of stuff we are used to seeing from him and he need's to improve.
sterling- 4 never got into it at all
balotelli - 6 just about. nice finish although a bit of luck involved as the defender set it up for him on the volley but good strength to force it.
lallana - 4 need's to improve quickly, our biggest signing and the not match fit line will only last so long

lucas- 4
borini- 4 cant believe he's favoured over suso. bizarre considering we told him he could leave, adds nothing at all and yes he will score sooner or later if he keeps getting game time. doesnt make him worthy of being here though.

there was nothing good about that performance at all, we got lucky against a have a go team and things need to improve.

Mignolet- 5 he had a solid game but it was his error for the goal by rushing out when he should have stayed on his line.

Manquillo - 6 played well last night, worked his socks off and got the important penalty late on.

Lovren - 5 his lack of concentration saw the player run in behind him for the goal.. He needs to stay switched on otherwise he'll make the same errors Agger made.

Sakho - 5 won alot of headers and made some solid challengers. Never looks comfortable in possession though and puts me on edge everytime he has the ball.

Moreno - 7 got in some very good positions with his pace but his final ball could have been better. Overall good game though.

Gerrard - 5 gave the ball away silly a couple of times in bad areas which they countered well off of. He didn't influence the game at all.. poor game for his standard.

Hendo - 5 worked hard off the ball and pressed hard all game. Just had no impact overall.

Coutinho - 4 can't seem to get his game together this year.. I blame alot of it through the lack of movement from other players.

Lallana - 4 the position behind the front man doesn't suit his style, he's simply not quick enough. He'd be better playing in the 3 man midfield with Hendo and Stevie.

Sterling - 4 not saying he played bad, he simply just couldn't get into the game.

Ballotelli - 6 frustrating to watch at times with his lack of effort off the ball.. but he got the important goal.


Subs

Lucas - 4 did his job at breaking play up, but gave a stupid freekick at a bad time of the match at the edge of the box.

Borini - 4 looked better than usual to be honest.. played safe passes and commited challengers in good areas.

Mingolet - 6 handling and general play much better than usual, rush of blood for the goal but the defence/midfield being carved open in front of him didn't exactly help, gave him a split second decision to make.
Manquillo - 7 his best performance since he's been at the club
Lovren - 4 obviously talented but concentration levels seriously need working on, seems to play a starring role in every goal we concede these days.
Sakho - 5 thought he had a reasonable game, better game than Lovren anyway but still part of a defence that looked very shaky
Moreno - 7 another good game, his tremendous recovery tackle when Gerrard gave the ball away probably saved the game, the 2 fullbacks are one of the few positives from this stuttering start to the season
Henderson - 6 put in a real shift
Gerrard - 4 started okay but went AWOL second half, nearly gifted the opposition 2 goals, one from a poor back header and the other when he was dispossessed in our half, not exactly what you want from a DM to say the least!
Coutinho - 4 the lad is just off form which happens to every player, Brendan shouldn't be starting him when he's so out of sorts, not fair on the lad.
Lallana - 4 same as Coutinho, obviously 2 very, very talented footballers but when you are out of form you are out of form.
Sterling - 5 one or two bright moments but struggling to reach the high notes of last season
Balotelli - 6 not easy leading the line for such a stuttering outfit, every chance/half chance he had he basically created himself, engineered a vital goal and showed some decent hold up play.

Mignolet - 5 - didn't have a lot to do and made a mistake at the end
Manquillo - 7 - Solid at the back and OK going forward, won us the penalty
Lovren - 5 - was Ok for most of the match but fell asleep for their goal
Sakho - 5 - a liability for most of the match. He's so different when he plays for France
Moreno - 7 - saved our ***** once or twice at the back and was good going forward and made an assist
Gerrard - 6 - passed it around well but that's about it. Fell asleep for their goal. Get's a point plus for scoring the winner
Henderson - 6 - played well and probably the only player that was active for the entire match
Coutinho - 4 - useless
Lallana - 4 - useless and anonymous
Sterling - 5 - obviously tiered
Balotelli - 6 - Well taken goal but his movement is nonexistent which makes it very hard for us to create chances

Sterling - 6 - one of the few that looked as though he could make something happen
Balotelli - 6 - Did well for the goal and I think I actually saw him run once or twice hence the 6, still waiting for him too really put his mark on a game.

Mignolet - 3 - Pathetic. Another three goals conceded, never makes a decent save, never saves "a goal".

Manquillo - 3 - Hope he was injured.
Lovren - 4 - Not directly at fault for the goals but didn't do anything to stop them either
Skrtel - 1 - Usual self, done his best to gift them all he could and along with Sahko was pathetically deep for their third.
Moreno - 2 - The lad can run, f*ck all else.

Gerrard - 5 - Too deep, at least stepped it up in the second half.
Lucas - 2 - Played one pass to Sterling, apart from that was a disgrace.
Henderson - 3 - The second best midfielder in the league was shocking.

Sterling - 4 - Tried, out of position, left frustrated. Fared better in the second half when also out of position. Great management.

Ballotelli - 6 - The only player who looked capable and seemed to have a touch on him.
Borini - 1 - Great signing.

Subs:

Sahko - 1 - Shocking all game, shocking for their third.
Lallana - 5 - Was our second best player, at least tried to play and find space.

Mignolet - 3- shocking performance, Valdes please get fit soon and sign for us, this is not good enough
Manquillo - 3 - when he was on was torn apart
Moreno - 3 - very poor, his great performances of late were lost today
Lovren - 4 - best of a bad bunch of central defenders and thats not saying much
Skrtel - 3 - headless chicken
Gerrard - 3 - i am asking a question, is he past it now ?
Henderson - 4 - poor by his standards
Lucas - 3 - dismal player, get rid
Sterling - 7 - scored a great goal, tried really hard, but you cant perform on your own
Borini - 5 - tried hard, but still not good enough, was selfish on a couple of times
Balotelli - 5 - tried for a bit, thought he was gonna get sent off for incident with keeper but restrained himself in the end

Substitutes:
Sakho - 4 - headless chicken, at fault for 3rd goal
Lallana - 7 - thought he was decent when he came on
Lambert - 5 - didnt have time to do much, but did chase down a lost cause in the corner to prevent a goal kick
