Can you blame me, it seems every time England play we lose a player to injury.

New vice captain :) .  Congrats Hendo, totally deserved.

Is Gerrard not going to play tomorrow or just a coincidence?

Congratulations to Jordan.. he's really stepped his game up and puts in 110% in every game win or lose. Really good decision by Bredan.

The logical choice for vice captain. A real leader on the pitch.

Delighted for him.

Shining example to any kid playing the game. Head down, work hard and earn your place in the team. For sure, he's not the most technically gifted player in the squad and he struggled to start with, but he's a regular through merit. Well done lad.

Definitely MOTM yesterday, I thought he was fantastic. I don't know if it was planned by Rodgers (I think it was), but he was doing part of Gerrard's job, dropping deep to receive the ball and distribute it, and I thought he did it well. We should definitely start trying to experiment playing without Gerrard once Allen and Can are back.

Can't quite understand the fuss myself, he's a decent player but he's not irreplaceable by any stretch. Had a really good season last season and thrived off the way Luis played, but he's gone and Henderson looks a bit lost this season so far for me,  reality is, in terms of actual ability he's not exactly a top player now is he…

As unbelievable as it may seem Stu ,Henderson has exceptional ability and is arguably now one of the Kops favourite players ,I find it a complete head scratcher that
you fail to see the marked contrast in his game when matched up against Gerrards paucity for throwing in a tackle.

While his industry and commitment are so important to the team, I do not think he is good enough to build a team around, although he should start. He is more skillful than some give him credit but I would always regard him as an industrious player rather than a creative player not to say he does not show good vision sometimes. He will always need a more creative player next to him.

Believe it or not i agree with STU ,Hendo reminds me a bit of Kuytת industrious ,relentless ,works his a$$ off but limited technically. Should be used but not automatically and not every game.
