Mingolet 5 - didn't make any howlers per see but thought he could have done better with the first and third goals
Johnson 3 - poor performance, looked slow and lethargic compared to the energetic Moreno on the other flank.
Lovren 5 - decent performance but caught out badly for the third.
Skrtel 6 - solid performance from Martin
Moreno 7 - early mistake but very impressive debut from Alberto.
Gerrard 6 - better than last week
Allen 7 - thought Joe had a good game
Hendo 6 - busy but not much end product, dithered a couple of times in dangerous positions.
Coutinho 5 - muscled out of it, not his best game
Sturridge 6 - didn't have many chances but did well to set up our goal
Sterling 6 - looked lively early on but faded in the second half

Subs

Markovic 7 - looked a real handful when he came on, linked up well with Moreno
Can 6 - put himself about and looked okay
Lambert 7 - scored a goal and maybe should have scored another, did give us a lift when he came on.

mingolet- 5 could have done better for the goals
johnson- 4 again the worst red on the pitch. gets forward but is completely braindead. his feet are braindead also.
skrtel- 6 some good interceptions and our best CH by a mile.
lovren- 5 worked hard but needs to concentrate much better on his positioning.
moreno- 5 tough place to make your debut and other than the goal he looked alright.
gerrard- 6 decent game from him.
hendo- 5 not at the races tonight at all. very poor decision making and created nothing
allen- 4 other than running around i fail to see what else he brings because it aint creativity or tackling. sideshow joe.
coutinho- 5 you have said it many times brendan what his best position is so WTF was he doing out left again.
sterling- 6 started bright but then faded
sturridge- 6 got very little service

markovic- 4 looked like he was going to tear them apart after his introduction but then faded badly
lambert - 4 should have buried that chance he opted to square
can- 4

Mignolet - 5       : Bad positioning for the Aguero goal
Johnson - 4        : Could have cleared at the goal line with his head. Wasteful going forward
Lovren - 4         : Should have done better in every goal we conceded. Poor header for the 1st, drawn out of position too early and easily for the 2nd, indecisive for the 3rd
Skertle -5          : pick of the back 4. Solid if unimpressive
Moreno - 5        : looked good going forward but made costly mistakes in their 1st and 3rd goals; lack of awareness for the 1st and didnt get tight enough to Navas for the 3rd (More his fault than Lovren's. Compounded by poor keeping from Migno)
Gerrard - 5        : Solid in the 1st half, tried hard in the 2nd half but failed to have his usual influence
Allen - 5            : pressed hard which got him the 5 rating. Poor on the ball and lacking in creativity higher up the pitch
Hendo - 4          : Ran his usual distance but wasted good opportunities higher up
Countinho - 2    : worst player on the pitch by a country mile. Wasted possession with almost every touch in every area of the pitch. Defensively he lost Zabaleta in a few occasions and made Moreno's job harder down both ends
Sterling - 6        : looked lively when he came to more central areas and had the chance to run at/off the ball from CMs and CBs.
Sturridge - 5      : Did well to create the goal. Didnt show up for large parts of the game but the setup was partly to blame

Subs
Markovic - 5
Lambert - 4
Can - 4

Manager: 4      : Should have changed it earlier than he has. Went in wanting to stop Man City playing rather than focusing on what our players had to offer (would have been more understandable later on in the season).

Mignolet - 5
Johnson - 3
Skrtel - 6 - did OK, the goals weren't his fault.
Lovren - 4 - Horrible positioning for all of their goals, especially for the second and third.
Moreno - 6 - played well but made a crucial mistake. Point deducted for that.
Gerrard - 5
Allen - 6 - a strong 6 for this lad, I thought he was excellent off the ball and a major reason why we played so well in the first 35 minutes.
Henderson - 5
Coutinho - 4 - marked out of the game, again, but even when he had the ball he did nothing good.
Sterling - 5
Sturridge - 5

Subs:
Markovic - 6 - nice little cameo, faded away after that. Shows promise though.
Can - 5 - didn't see him do anything of note, bar getting booked once (almost twice).
Lambert - 6 - did well when he came on but he should have buried that second chance he had instead of passing it.

mingolet- 4 Let the first goal through his legs and awful positioning for the third
johnson- 2 Awful as usual wasting posession whenever we went forward
skrtel- 6 Our best defender
lovren- 5 Has a responsibility for both the first and third goal. Dissapointing!
moreno- 6 I'll be generous and give him an extra point. I think he could work out for us.
gerrard- 5 Dissapointing with his set play delveries except the traing ground pass to Hendo. I always expect more from Gerrard
hendo- 5 Not his best game but did run around alot.
allen- 4 Looked better in the first half then faded
coutinho- 5 Felt sorry for him as he had to cover Zabaletta and could not play his normal game
sterling- 6 started bright but then faded
sturridge- 6 Best of the attacking players

markovic- 6 Looked good and cannot wait to see him for 90 mins
lambert - 5 Looks limited and overwhelmed
can- 5 Looks strong and lively but I will not judge him on yesterdays performance

Team performance 6 We folded and let them in the match

Mingolet- 4 Two essential components to a top keepers game are distribution and awareness between the sticks ,Mignolet displayed neither.
Johnson- 2 Makes me bilious when I see his name on the team sheet ,the direct opposite of opposing teams managers who must feel like getting the flags out .
Skrtel- 6 Comfortably our best CB
Lovren- 5 Positioning was awful ,easily exposed by the pace and cleverness of Aguero .
Moreno-7.He and Markovic produced the only highlights of the night from a reds perspective ,both looked impressive linking play up.
Gerrard- 5 If he is continually allowed to disrupt the play by squeezing into the space between the CB's it will cause chaos at the back.
Hendo- 5 Looked lost for long periods
Allen- 6 I thought Joe looked decent in the first half ,certainly not his worst performance
Coutinho- 5 Like with Saints he was harried and jostled every time he found a yard of space
Sterling- 5 Isolated with ruthless efficiency
Sturridge- 6 Starved of service ,but still looked the only likely source of a goal

Markovic- 7 Delighted with his debut and how much more potent we looked when he was introduced ,seems direct and linked up brilliantly with Moreno.
Lambert - 5 Could have scored ,to make it 3-2  but decided to go down the assist route.
Can- 6  I thought his power gave City something to finally think about ,and he passed the ball well ....Simply has to start at Spudz along with Markovic.

Rodgers- 4 Out thought ,and out foxed by the wily Pellegrini ,and his persistence in playing certain players needs addressing forthwith.

Spurs V Liverpool 31st Aug 2014

Mignolet - 8 - made some good saves, better than usual
Manquillo - 7 - solid enough
Sakho - 7- decent
Lovren - 8 - was solid, made a couple of errors but made up for them with some good challenges
Moreno - 9 - awesome, really like this kid, took his goal well
Gerrard - 7 - still making mistakes, but better than he has been of late
Henderson - 9 - bossed the midfield, created a goal again
Allen - 7 - solid enough
Sterling - 9 - had he scored that individual goal attempt would have been a 10
Balotelli -7 - was decent, held the ball up well at times, should have scored though
Sturridge - 7 - looked decent, but not hitting last seasons form yet

Subs:
Jose Enrique - 6 - wasnt on long enough to comment
Can - 7 - looked solid enough, showing good potential for a young lad
Markovic - 6 - didnt really do anything when he came on

Spurs V Liverpool 31st Aug 2014

Mignolet - 7 - Solid enough game but can still improve on his distribution
Manquillo - 7- Thought he was good and lively and  happily will replace Johnson
Sakho - 7 - Made too many dodgy passes
Lovren - 8 - The more solid of the two and made some excellent tackles
Moreno - 8- Excellent game and took his goal well
Gerrard - 7 - What he brings is less about football and more about leadership
Henderson - 8 - his usual solid performance
Allen - 6 - Coming to the conclusion he is too small for the prem
Sterling - 8 Good game but was selfish on a number of occasions, and I hope it does not become a habit
Balotelli - 7- Little dissapointed with his touch but he worked hard for the team. Should have had a hatrick and was a little selfish.
Sturridge - 8 - Thought he had a good game with his excellent control and quick feet. With a couple of passes he could have at least a goal

Subs:
Jose Enrique - 6 - Looked sluggish
Can - 7 - Looked strong and made a nice run
Markovic - 7 - Excellent touch and looks like an intelligent player to me

Mignolet - 7 - looked a lot more  on his game than he did against City.
Manquillo -8 - This kid is going to become a Kop favourite ,all heart and passion and unflinching in the tackle .
Sakho - 5-Gave the ball away with some dire passes ,and if it wasn't for the rest of our defence and Gerrard ,he would have had the most assists for Spudz.
Lovren - 8 - read the play almost perfectly ,and looked solid.
Moreno - 8 - Brilliant goal and worked tirelessly all game
Gerrard - 8 - I loved his appetite for the fight today ,made some brilliant tackles and decisive interceptions ,proper captain earlier.
Henderson - 9 - On his day the best in the Premiership ,covers ground like he's one of triplets .
Allen - 7 - energetic ,but the lad is too easily shoved off the ball
Sterling - 8 Could have had the goal of the season if only the move hadn't finished with such a weak effort ,presented with even more opportunities than Balotelli
Balotelli -7 - Strong when holding the ball up ,and distributed it intelligently ,the goals will come
Sturridge - 7 - worked hard ,but little come off for him.

Can- 7 Kept our play neat and tidy ,and a good surging run nearly brought an assist .
Markovic- 5 it was almost like he was flatly refusing to run and couldn't wait to give the ball back ,looked to be in a bit of a sulk with not starting if I'm honest.

Rodger's 8 tactics were near perfect ,and Pochettino is no slouch in that department either ,so its a real decent scalp for our manager.
