Well our loaned players seem to be doing well. Teixeria scored his second in his second match today and Alberto scored for Malaga as well right after he missed a pen (probably right on the rebound). Wisdom played well for WBA too.

Best of luck to Liverpool youngster Kristoffer Peterson, who has today completed a permanent transfer to Dutch side FC Utrecht

That's a surprise, I thought the club might have kept him on after he did well in pre season. Good Luck to him.

Liverpool have wrapped up the signing of Spain U17 midfielder Madger from Villarreal.

The youngster will join the club's Academy and will, once international clearance is received, be free to play for the Reds' U21 and U18 sides.

A left-footed midfielder, who made his U17s debut for Spain last year, Madger is a contemporary of Sergi Canos and Pedro Chirivella, both of whom moved to Anfield last summer.

He had one year left on his contract at Villarreal, but was reluctant to sign a new one. The La Liga club were keen not to lose him for free to a rival next summer, and so agreed to discuss a deal with Liverpool.

The teenager, who is of African descent, took to Twitter on Wednesday to express his delight at securing the move.

He wrote: “So proud to be part of the @LFC club! Now it's time to keep working hard! Thanks everyone for your messages!”

Madger has already trained with his new Academy teammates, though it could be some time before Liverpool receive clearance for him to play games, due to the complicated laws concerning transfers involving U18 players.
