Turns down more money to play for Liverpool.
Would die on the pitch for Liverpool.

For me personally he was one of the most impressive defenders in the Premiership last season

He is listed as a CB but judging by his ability on the ball i'd say he would be comfortable anywhere at the back.

Lovren: "Unfortunately I could not get a visa straight away. Therefore I can not join my team-mates in the U.S. I am sad because of that."
"I will train with the U-21 team in Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers will send a program for me to practice."

had read that alright. disappointing for the lad as im sure he was really looking forward to settling in. now as a result rodgers will have less time to integrate him into the side before we play so'ton.
wonder why he just didnt meet up with the squad on a holiday visa. might not have been allowed to work as in play games but he could have been there getting used to his new team-mates and set up.

That's a bummer. We really need to have our shaky defense gelled together before the start of the season. Wish he could at least train with the first team. He'll have only two weeks of training and a friendly against Dortmund before the season kicks-off.

There's no way he'd get past customers, let along make it to the training ground on a tourist visa. The US are sh!t hot on these type of things and it'd be glaringly obvious that he wouldn't be there for a 'holiday'.

Youtube video looks pretty impressive. Certainly an improvement on our back line of last year.
Glad he'll be wearing our shirt when we start off against Southampton, since he played a fairly pivotal role in the game at Anfield last season, scoring the winner, if I remember right (?)...... And we lost the League by two points...... Lallana and him cost us the League, the cnuts!
Only joking.

Hard to find really good centre backs these days with a focus very much on retaining the ball and
keeping it away from goal for most teams.

I would guess Rodgers will pick the two lads he brought to the club as the pairing, Sakho and Lovren,
with the Frenchman playing bad cop and Lovren offering organisation and a cultured approach.

Left back now and we are in business, and right back will be Johnson, Rodgers likes him.
