I've had many doubts this season about winning crucial games but I'm confident we can beat Chelsea at home. We have the winning momentum, the morale is high, we don't give up, can grind out results... we will win. It may be 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 I don't care, we will see it through.

Mark my words, after this game City fans will be cursing us, Chelsea fans in denial, Spurs Arsenal & Everton fans will look on in envy wondering how the hell we have done it?

So Terry and Cech both out which couldnt have been better news. Hopefully that includes Ramires (pending verdict). Hazard may possibly be rested to recover from injury ready for 2nd leg.

Even if all those are out they still have the likes of Ivanovic, Matic, Oscar, Willian, Schurrle, Salah, Luiz, Torres, Eto'o etc.
Whoever they put out will still be a formidable side and we've got to make sure that we bring our A game.

Mourhino hanging from the cross again before a big game.

All a trick to take pressure off his team which I am confident Rodgers and the lads wont fall for.

We should ignore whatever Mourinho says and try to play our game regardless of their line-up. Even if they do field a weaker team they won't just roll over. They'll try to come at us and deny us the chance to pass it around. We're very vulnerable to high pressure so I think that that's what they're going to do right from the start. Like Yakka said, a midfield of Lucas, Gerrard and Allen will be too slow and inferior to the midfield of Chelsea. Hopefully Sturridge will be fit for this one so we can concentrate more on fire power rather than a battle for the midfield. If we keep all these things in mind we should be good.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has been charged for violent conduct following an off-the-ball incident that was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

He has until 6pm tomorrow to appeal it

Brilliant. Now we just need Matic's wife to give birth if possible, and Mikel and Eto to be deported to Africa for war crimes.

Well they've got Cech, Terry and Ramires out for sure while Hazard and Eto'o are doubtful and they might want to rest a few as well. I expect to see this, which is still a pretty strong line-up:

                                   Schwarzer

               Ivanovic     Luiz       Cahil     Cole

                               Mikel      Matic

                Salah             Oscar          Schurle

                                    Torres

Surely Lampard will play? He's their VC.
Their 3rd captain(Cech) and captain Terry may not play.
