The concerning thing though is that while the @rse has dropped out of our form the likes of spurs (who are on the same points as us) seem to have found theirs.
Since AVB's departure they have backed up some solid home form with a handful of impressive away wins at places like Southampton, Swansea and Man United, and given the way we have been defending lately I wouldn't fancy our chances at any of those grounds never mind winning at all 3 on the bounce.
Everton are only a point adrift (and have still only lost twice all season), if we don't sort out our defensive, midfield and goalkeeping issue's and sharpish we could easily find ourselves out of the top 4, we are only 2 points away from being 6th and we were top 3 weeks ago, the top teams (who we were above on Christmas Day) are 8 points ahead of us now, that just shows you how dramatically our form has tanked since the festive period.
We've had 2 losses and a draw in our last 5 games and at this crucial stage of the season that type of run isn't good enough if you want to compete with the City's and Chelsea's of this world.

2 loses...     Chelsea and Man City - not exactly crisis time, neither team gave us a hiding.

1 draw...     Villa, fair enough we should've beat them but we did well to get the goals back.
