Don't really think it's about football knowledge, almost every player's got that.... It's about being able to motivate the players, our own Bob Paisley didn't have much of a reputation as a player and Shanks himself was not much more than a journeyman, they did, however, have the ability to get the best out of their men and that is the overriding quality that a manager must have. It's so, so difficult to call it with players as young as we have......

I think if one of the players would be the gaffer it would have to be one of the scousers because they grew up loving the club and it wouldnt be just a job to them it would be the team they have been supporting since they were kids. Fowler or Carragher

i think i know why great players dont make great managers.

i remember souness saying how angry and frustrated he got watching players who didnt have his ability, he was annoyed when players couldnt do what he did.

i think this is a fair comment, maybe its hard for the great players, maybe the frustration is just too great and their expectations are too high

i think Didi can make it..everyday,I read the latest news in Liverpoolfc.tv and i like the way Dietmar Hamman gave his comments.

He is a very good player, won a lot of trophies with liverpool and very cool player on the pitch. still remember intanbul 2005? he had changed the way liverpool play in the second half.. and set up the 2nd goal..!

Finnan is also ok i think..but Gerrard, i agree with some coments he would be a 2nd Souness coz he's not really cool on the pitch..but Stevie G is my fav player..my hero!

Dietmar Hamman is the best player, and i still remember during he was playing for Newcastle, i was always hoping that he will sign for Liverpool and at last he made...I love german player as I have ever suggested in this forum for Rafa to sign Miroslav Klose last year, but he didnt hear me...hehe

in the worldcup 2006 i was a Germany supporter...he but still as Liverpool's fan..he

I think Fowler. Carra could do it but he would much prefer to be on the field than managing the team :p
