WOLVES VS LIVERPOOL - Tuesday 31/01/12 - 19:45 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby RedAnt » Wed Feb 01, 2012 10:53 am

Was the forum down all night? Couldn't figure out if the problem was my end, but since there's no new posts I guess it wasn't me.

Anyhoo, great result! Carroll was good. MotM for me though was Enrique. That boy is pure class. One of the most intelleligent footballers around, and I have to say, on his game, by far the best LB in the country. Waaaaaaaaaay better than Ashley Cole.

Great game all around.

Missed the game :(  Delighted with the win though!  Only caught the goals.

We weren't super. Wolves were actually very good in parts. They had a lot of chances, but the fact that Reina wasn't very busy really tells a story. Wolves counter attacking was frightening at times. We played some lovely football in spells too.

Bellamy deserves special mention too. He was on fire again last night. Kuyt was his usual workhorse but largley ineffective. Real nice finish for his goal though.

Wolves were pretty awful. We were comfortable throughout, never having to really exert ourselves.

Back four looked solid again

Spearing did a top notch job, as did Adam. Not sure about Henderson, didnt shine like i thought he might against poorer opposition.

Bellamy, kuyt and carroll good all evening.

Carroll improved again on his last game. Won pretty much everything in the air, touch was also very good as well.

Really made up with that result and good to see big Andy on scoresheet

After cup heroics I wouldnt have been surprised if we had dropped points away against lower team

great result, its usually time for us to come good second half of the season. Everything's looking pretty promising. We have some dodgy games coming up but I'm still pretty confident. Two domestic cups and fourth place to play for. Bring it on
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Great result last night. Thought the whole team played really well. There's a new impetus because of recent results and I can't see us losing too many games before the end of the season. Solidity has been restored and long may it continue.
