Liverpool Football Club - Games

This has always been a difficult fixture for us and we will need to be at our battling best to get something from it, i am certain Andy Carroll will give our centre backs a real torrid time

Origi is set to miss at least 6 matches, Sturridge could be on the bench for this match, Allen still ill, Milner still out

I think we will probably go with the same side that started against Sunderland, perhaps swapping out Jordan Ibe for Adam Lallana

I am reading that Ryan Kent has been recalled from his loan at Coventry and JK is keen to include him in first team matches, but this one may be too soon

A win for us in this would be massive, especially with us being level on points with the scum and Palace hosting the chav's

3 points please lads, let's make a good start to a new year

I know we say it practically every week (or at least I do!  :D ) but this really is a must win game, our next two league games after this are Arsenal and United and a bad run now and we may as well write the rest of the season off and just concentrate on the cups, that's how big these next 3 games are.
Btw that's good news re Kent, he looks a classy player and it will be good to see the lad get some game time.

This is a tricky one for sure. I really want to see Studge feature in this. We can get a result if we finish our chances. We really need to start killing off games.
Were missing Studges finishing.

West ham has a very talented squad and a very bright manager it would require us not only to be highly energized and focused but really getting more quality minutes from our MF and attacking players.

No more indecisive passing brain freeze moments which plagued us against Sunderland.

Mignolet

Clyne - Lovren - Sakho - Moreno

        Lucas(hendo) - Can

  Ibe - Firmino(lallana) - Coutinho

              Benteke

I think it maybe something like that.

If Hendo doesn't make it Jurgen may choose to go with a different formation, he may not think a Lucas/Can partnership is athletic enough a pairing to go into the game with just 2 CM's.

Must win this one.

Again, if Henderson is fit and Sturridge isnt fit enough to start, the only decision for Jurgen should be whether to continue with the massively under-performing Firmino or swap him for a Texeira or Ibe. Regardless of who we play, I'd keep Lallana on the right to defend against Creswell.

Id go with this:

Mignolet
Clyne
Lovren
Sakho
Moreno
Henderson
Can
Lallana
Coutinho
Ibe
Sturridge (Benteke)

Sturridge won't start, but I expect him to make the bench and be given 15 mins. Would be interesting to see how he would fair alongside Benteke.

Need to win this to revive our hopes for a top 4 finish.

It won't be easy, therefor it doesn't need to be pretty. We just need to win.

I wouldn't be surprised if its 1-0 again with Benteke scoring.
