He's the same age as Karius too. Ward will probably get 90 mins against Blackburn on Thursday. TBH he looks overweight so staying behind at Melwood and doing a double session might be the best thing for him.

Overweight? He looks okay to me. If he is carrying any excess beef It certainly didn't stop him making a fine reaction save against Tranmere.
I saw a headline in the Echo last week about Ward being given a chance to make himself the number 1 keeper, I didn't actually read the article but from what I saw he's going to get his opportunity. My guess is that he'll probably be our main keeper over in the states.

The Echo article just said he'd be given more time over pre-season. I think he and Karius will continue to share the pre-season games but I'd be shocked if Ward starts against West Ham unless Karius makes a few more blunders in pre-season. I still think there's a pretty good chance we'll sign a keeper before the window shuts and it will either be the new signing or Karius is goal against West Ham. Migs will most likely be gone before the window shuts.

Curtis Jones is making a bit of an impression in the initial pre-season games. May have earned himself some game time on the US tour. Origi has looked really poor unfortunately.

Curtis Jones looks unbelievable for a 17 year old. The angles he receives the ball, and the way he dribbles his way out of tight areas is so good for his age.

Only thing that worries me is that he overplays the ball in the wrong area of the field.. and that honestly is the only downfall he's that good.

Not sure who our manager is planning to send out on loan..
Wilson is apparently going out, but he's showed more quality already than what Ings, Solanke and Origi have got. Those three need to be sold now.

LFC team news latest for Blackburn friendly

Jürgen Klopp will again name two different teams for each half of tonight's pre-season friendly with Blackburn Rovers.

The game, which you can watch live on LFCTV and LFCTV GO, is the fourth and final local fixture before Liverpool depart for their tour of the United States on Saturday morning.

Georginio Wijnaldum will not be risked due to a minor muscle strain and Danny Ings will again focus on building up his fitness after a minor ankle injury.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm BST.

Thought Markovic scored a pretty good goal TBH. Hopefully drums up some interest in him

I haven't seen any of the pre-season friendlies as I've been abroad, but I can pretty much guess how everyone's doing from the comments. One player I've seen mixed opinions about is Sturridge. What do you guys think of him? Has he shown good form to be kept as back-up striker? I really wish he gets his Sh*t together, I think he can be an amazing back-up for Firmino.
