Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby UvS xR4GEx » Sat Mar 10, 2018 3:33 pm

The little fouls off of the ball, the diving at every touch, the blatant time wasting. It's all Maureens tactics to win at any cost. We let it all get to us!!

Ox, Mane, Lovren, TAA were all highlighted today as players that bottle it in big games. It's obvious where we need to strengthen in the summer.

Trent needs to be moved into MF imo, he's just not a natural defender. Dare I say it we lacked a Coutinho type player there today as well, we had tons of possession at the edge of their box but no one had a clue what to do with it.
How clever was that Bailly though? As soon as he gave away the goal he went down for about 5 minutes, totally killed any momentum we had, as soon as he came back on the ref should have booked him for deliberate time wasting.

Hate losing to these bastards but it's always hard to come back with naive defending. Mane was shit and our midfield did not get a grip of the game throughout the first half. Just when we get going, Mourinho brings in Fellaini and parked the bus. Young was a shadow to Salah today and Mane was a headless chicken with stray passes. Ox imo was next to useless and TAA will learn from this experience. Lallana is still a couple of yards short of pace while the rest performed ok but we don't have someone like Coutinho today who can come in from the deep and thread magical passes. Mourinho set up his team and uses his players well but I still think we will finish above these maggots come end of the season.

Typical Mourinhio performance. We can at least take consolation from the fact that his teams eventually self implode at some point.

Five points behind that shot now. Well probably finish fourth. Our midfield is woeful, no creativity. I would sell Can to Juventus tommorow for 50p. KACK

Mane was garbage today.. he had about a 15% successful pass ratio today. And Lovren should NEVER play in a big game again.

That's the way Mourinho's team play. I thot Salah should have gone down after being manhandled by Young but he chooses to stay on his feet and lose the ball. Good sportsmanship but you will always get fucked by the cheating scums like a Spurs or a ManU, every single time! We lost our composure in the first half and at 0-2 down at half time against a Maureen's side, you will always have an uphill task. The have the joy today but fuck them we will still finish above them as this is our last "major" hurdle in the league this season. it's a good learning experience for some of our lads on how or what to do when dealing with this type of teams or in a big occasion. #YNWA  :buttrock

Was thinking the same thing. Today was the first time we genuinely missed him, because he could create something from nothing in the center of midfield.

Lovern was gash though. And Klopp went mental at him after some of those daft fouls. Hopefully that's the last we seen of him in a red shirt.

The frustrating thing is that the long ball and header on is all they've got!  I could've predicted before kick off that thats what they'd do.  And we fell for it twice.
People keep saying we are better than them but we are not.  Not until we learn to defend.

Conceding such soft goals again and again is just so frustrating

Mane was garbage yet he was our most prominent player in an attacking sense, says f'all about the others.

Ref was a disgrace IMO, at least one of those three pen appeals should have been given. Typical that it goes against us at the theatre of queens.

That was a complete let down but not afraid to say it was half expected. We just didn't show up anywhere on the pitch today in a massive game again.

Lovren was the cause of those goals today, trying to challenge Lukaku 30 yds up the field is suicide especially when you hesitate and let him have a free header each time. He shouldn't have even been on Lukaku anyway.

Our Midfield was atrocious today. Totally devoid of any creativity or penetration. Milner was poor and Ox was awful. Can not a lot better but the only one who put himself about and into challenges.

Our front 3 never got into the game because they weren't allowed to. Young rode Salah for 90 minutes and looked like he could for another. Firmino at times was playing from the half way line and was found wanting when trying to make up ground.  How Mane stayed on the pitch for 90 mins is anyones guess as his passing was also rubbish. Was him and Ox having some kind of personal competition on who could give the ball away most because that's mostly all they did.

Hugely disappointing to get nothing from that game other than a schooling from Mourinho in how to be shyte but cruise to victory.

Gomez should have started, he saw Martial and Rashford off at Anfield, okay every now and then Joe does have a tendency to lose the flight of long balls but when it comes to one on one defending against quick and tricky opponents there's not many better in the entire league.

We had about 15 corners and all that possession second half and could not get ONE shot on target.
Fkng embarrassing. :(

Our midfield are to blame. Can, milner, hendo, wjnaldum, Ox and Lallana are all average at best. None of them can produce in big matches, they just do this tippy tappy"passing five yard passes that get you nowhere.
Had stephen Gerrard been playing today, we would have won.
