Utter c0ck, a great advertisement. Two teams who can't finish a gilt edged opportunity.
And worst of all, the filth have two games in hand over us. Can see us failing to get top four now.

That was a great game of football, end to end with chances galore. If we don't make top 4 it won't be because of what happened today. City are one of the richest clubs in the world yet they've taken 1 point from a possible 6 against us.

The players did the shirt proud today, they gave it everything they had and left it all out on the pitch, that's all you can ask, we went into their backyard in front of their fans and gave a great account of ourselves. Superb.

sorry Yaka can't agree it was a pretty cowardly performance at times..We didn't have the belief in ourselves.

How many chances to bag the points? And we fluffed all of them. Not good enough...

Overall, fair result. Thought it was a good team performace and a point away is not a bad result at all. City had more chances but we had ours to and it could easily have ended up as a win or a loss for us.

In terms of top 4, it is getting tight and we need turn this mini run we are on and make it a long run. Chelsea obviously have the league sewn up and spurs keep churning out results to. With Arsenal faltering and mancs having to deal with europe, we have to take advantage NOW, even though both those teams have 2 games in hand on us.

Great game? No
Great entertainment for the neutral? Yes

It was just a wild game with no structure from any team, poor decisions all around, poor finishing all around. Scrappy game on many levels.

Go and read some of the fan comments on the Guardian website, the neutrals thought it was a great game and so do I.

Good analysis mate, we still have 27 points to play for and a lot of those other teams have to play each other in the run in, once the Everton game is out of the way we have a great opportunity to rack up some points. If we keep playing like we did today we won't be far away come May.

Yep, once the derby is out the way, on paper, we look to have what is a very favorable run in. However going by how we have performed against the lower placed sides, there are a couple of tricky looking games in there. The trips to Stoke and WBA have potential slip up written all over them and Southampton at home looks another one as they have already shown this season that they can cause us problems. Let's hope we can put our demons to rest and put away these sides

Atleast guys we still have a chance to get a champions league spot.
How many seasons in recent times have we been almost out of it by this time of the year.
If we go on a good run we've got a great opportunity to finish in top 4.

Anyhow on the match yup was very entertaining for the neutrals.
I've rewatched Lallanas miss and don't know how he did not time it properly. He had so much space that he could've taken a slight touch aswel.

On the other hand City could have easily won it.

1-1 was fair.

Seemed Lallana thought he was offside and wasn't switched on for the chance. He was coming back from an offside position and then ran foward after the ball was played over and just looked like a case of him thinking the flag would go up. Was strange watching at the time as everything seemed to freeze. Appeared like the City players were also waiting for the flag. He should have been switched on but think the whole offside thing played a major part in the miss

Yup should have put it away. Was like he became a bit scrambled by the whole coming from an offside position than going forward again and had a brain fart with the whole situation

Even with that miss Lallana had a great game, he did some terrific work defensively and saved our @rses on more than one occasion..
Alongside Wijnaldum, Can and Mane he probably ran a half marathon there today, those 4 in particular left absolutely everything out on the pitch and couldn't possibly have given any more.
Every time we broke they busted a gut to get forward and when the move would break down they'd leg it back to get goal side again, they did that for 90 minutes, up and down up and down, god knows how many sprints they completed.
It was those lung busting counter attacks which sapped all our energy, City finished the stronger because our players must have sprinted the full length of the pitch about 10 times in that second half. Ironically it probably would have been better for us if we'd had less opportunities and conserved a bit of energy but the game was so open.
