Milner penalty should be 2-0 here  ... oh ffs he missed.

That's why people are knocking Salah..you can't miss like that at this level..you just cant

You can when you knock half of them in.  The lad is good and will only improve as he gets settled.

The scary thing is, if he finishes 3/4 of his chances, he'll comfortably be a 25 goal a season forward  :Oo:

The header was easier than the one he scored

See what our midfield can do when they string two forward passes together  :buttrock

I reckon we only need to beat spartak, and a draw against sevila should be enough to win the group.

Hasn't made a massive impact. Just OK. But he needs a run of games to find any sort of form

The win was the most important thing, we were missing a lot of our most creative players (Coutinho, Mane, Lallana etc) so that was a decent result. Looking at Spurs result this tournament is wide open, if we can get our best XI on the pitch not many teams will fancy playing us over 2 legs in the knockout stages.

When all our squad are fully fit, we can beat anyone in Europe by 4/5. Unfortunately, with our midfield and defence, we could equally lose by the same score also.
Expect a roller-coaster ride in the knock out phase.

Seville beat Spartak 2-1 so currently we are 1 point ahead of them.

Spurs beat real 3-1 what a performance from them.

A Sunday league team parks the bus at anfield... And we still find it a struggle to break them down or find a plan B. Not good.

We won 3-0 mate i wouldn't say it was a struggle. If it was a draw then I'd agree. After the thumping last time the Maribor lads knew they would have to defend very deep and defend well. To be fair to them they parked the bus well, defended like a unit. We could've won this one again 7-0 or more had we taken our chances. Anyhow I'm satisfied with 3-0 and more importantly the 3 points.
