I don't remember when was the last time I saw the team work so hard...this is just an impressive physical effort. Well done lads.

Except Couts which was par avarage the rest gave a performance for the books.

Important win this. Mane, Wijnaldum and Lucas, take a bow.

Not that it wasn't expected though. We have no problem against teams that want to play football and come at us. Don't know why Spurs did the mistake of doing that because the way to beat us has been shown clearly in the past month or so.

Good win pleased with the display. 2nd half Spurs didn't threaten us at all. We were solid at the back.
Much needed 3 points.

Imagine if we could tighten the defence, add another top notch striker that could convert chances in a tight games, and probably another pacy winger, where will we be in the table?

Played that game like a cup final , excellent workrate - spurs made a big mistake being so wide open but who cares.

THEIR FANS ARE SEETHING - well done Liverpool for handing chelsea the title ?

That win has come at the right time.
Others will be in a busy schedule while we can rest our lads and start again.
We must go on a good run and keep the pressure on a Champs league spot.

Gegenpressing is very effective against teams that come onto us and I have to say I'm surprised Spurs didn't try to sit back and pick us off on the counter. That's their problem though, as far as we were concerned I thought the lads played brilliantly and put in one of their best performances of the season (just when we needed it as well). Statistically prior to kick off Spurs had the best defence in the country but we were opening them up almost at will and probably should have made more of the opportunities we created.
Well done to all involved.

Bit of a shame that we didn't give them an almighty thrashing !! Spurs fans should be very happy to walk away only losing
2-0. Mané should have had 5 - he was very special today !!

Work rate was unbelievable - literally everybody played as if there life's depended on it - great to see !!

Now where's that mad fkr Algymoron ???

Delighted we beat them  :buttrock and Kane for all his waffling never even got a sniff  :buttrock
It should have been more as mane was excellent in that 1st half. disappointed we didn't capitalise on it and kill them off but in the end we ran out comfortable winners. They were really poor today.
Our lads needed to stand up today and they did  :nod

What im chuffed about is our defensive performance. We never gave spurs a real chance in the 2nd half.

As someone who often criticises our midfield I have to say I thought Wijnaldum and Hendo were superb today. Both of them worked their socks off and really got stuck in. The likes of Dembele, Wanyama, Alli, Kane, Dier, Sissoko etc are big lads and physical players but our lads completely out battled them. Great stuff.
