Apparently the lads who were on World Cup duty will be available for this one. With less than 3 weeks to go until the start of the new season we really need to start working on combinations etc, especially given our tough start to the season.
Hopefully we'll get to see Markovic, Sterling, Coutinho and Sturridge on the pitch at the same time and hopefully we'll see a performance a bit more reminiscent to the ones we put in last season.

It's a friendly but a bit more serious friendly since we're playing in a cup of some sort. Expect to see the team in full force.

Glad it's in a slightly more reasonable time as well.

I am looking forward to seeing Markovic and especially his work rate because that is the only question I have of him. Aside from that I thought Can and Coutinho worked well together in the last match, I want to see if those two can have a good understanding because on paper they compliment each other well.

Olympiacos beat AC Milan 3-0 so this should be a good test.

Thanks mate.

Anyway, will be interesting to see how our midfield and attack will work in this one, because this set up will be very similar to how we'll play when the league starts IMO. Too early but I'll keep a lookout if the addition of Can to our Henderson-Gerrard midfield will solve any problems.
