Liverpool v Arsenal 13th January 20:00 KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Sun Jan 10, 2016 11:43 pm

Another one of those matches against top opposition.
Timing is wrong with all the injuries we have. Really don't know how this will unfold.

I think this will probably be the line up..

          Mignolet

Clyne Ilori Toure Moreno

        Lucas Allen

     Can           Milner

           Lallana

            Firmino

Can't see Benteke starting this one and really shouldn't. With no service to him it will be like playing with one man down.

Was hoping Studge would be back.

Benteke seems to do well against Arsenal for some reason so it might be worth throwing him in.
Given our injury situation we are going to need the crowd to crank up the atmosphere if we are to have any chance.

Like I said v Stoke had a felling we would beat them. I feel the same with this one,I think when we're expected to lose we go on and win. 2-0 Benteke to score both

Danny Ward is being recalled from his loan from Aberdeen, it was printed in local Scottish press who also say Mignolet is injured and is why he missed the Exeter match and was not even on the bench

Be a result if we can get 11 players on to the pitch without the need for crutches, zimmer frames and wheel chairs !!

Tricky times for LFC. This one will be very tough. Bring back Balotelli !!! ONLY JOKING - I THINK !!

Picking the starting 11 should be pretty straight forward for this one, since we don't really have much choice. We pretty much have to field the few players that are fit and hope for a good amount of luck.

I'd go with something like this:

                                                                Mignolet

                                          Clyne          Toure     Lucas          Moreno

                                                      Hendo/Allen      Can

                                             Milner          Firmino          Lallana

                                                                Benteke

Looking at these lineups make me really depressed  ...

Following the logic of this league Arsenal should not take this game seriously enough and we will nick the 3 points after an undeserved performance  :buttrock

Place your bets now if you are brave  :eyebrow

If Henderson plays we have a chance. Dont trust a midfield with Lucas/Allen/Milner partnering Can. Lallana is our best attacking option (I know I'll continue to get heat for this) so I'd have him play behind the forward. I'd go with this:

                                                                Mignolet

                                          Clyne          Toure    Sakho         Moreno

                                                           Hendo       Can

                                          Milner               Lallana                Ibe

                                                                 Benteke

Either will pull out a result or Arsenal will slaughter us. My main concern is Ozil. He will rip us apart if not kept at bay.

Maybe we should play physical against Arsenal. Not dirty plays but good physical challenges. Arsenal's players get rocked when played physical much like us...

It's been crazy for us and given our injuries were still doing well considering the circumstances.
