Sturridge has massive self belief, but it is misplaced. A strikers worth is in goals, and even the most lethal of strikers have droughts, but Sturridge is living on borrowed time. He has made a rod for his own back by not playing when he doesnt feel 100%, for whatever reason, This now means that he is running out of time to prove that he was worth the wait. He will probably put his lack of scoring down to bad luck, or not enough minutes on the pitch? Whatever the excuse is, his own ego is his undoing and as a fan of his, it saddens me that he has become the dud he is now.
Its probably too late for him to turn it around and a swift exit would probably be best for all parties?

I'm one of the staunchest supporters of Sturridge, more so because we need a world class striker desperately and in him we have one. But even I now think that it's time for Sturridge to go. He just is injured too frequently. He's injured now isn't he? If PSG's bid of 30 million is true, then it's time...

His done mate. Studge is finished here and will be gone in the summer.
I wonder how much will make because club will be cautious due to Studge injuries also that will have an affect on sale price.

I've got a glitch he will be off to a European side. Possibly Italy or France.

For me hes still our best forward, but hes not tactically smart more a selfish goal scorer, something once cherished but now seen as lack of commitment.

Hes an old fashioned No 9 who will definitely score plenty of goals in the right team, albeit in between inevitable injuries.

The type of quality required to compete at the top end costs money and unfortunately plenty of clubs will put much more money down than us, so be interested to know whos significantly better than what we have for £100k a week and around £30m absolute maximum.

West ham see interested they like injury crock players.
We should've sold him in the summer. Possibly could have banked more.

I'm a fan of sturridge but even I have given up on him. He's really of no use if 2/3 of the season he's injured... what a waste of talent...

Hip injury.

I'm amazed we are able to hold the position we have in the table with no strikers.  Lets face it all our strikers are injury prone. Even Origi can't seem to put in an extended shift when he plays.

Hopefully this lad never pulls on the shirt again. He's been nothing but a total waste outside of 1 season and whats more is that we will get nothing for him because there is only 1 club willing to pay his wage and that's us. No one else will touch him or pay him that kind of money when you aren't sure he even wants to play never mind the ridiculous amount of time that he is actually available. He only has one more contract in him before he retires so he will hold out for a free and get to stick it to us one more time.
