Hey be respectful...this guy and his goals nearly won us the league. Remembered when he scored 10 games in a row while Suarez was still suspended? That gave us the momentum to push on from early in the season. Some guys have short memory and selective loyalty...his injury was unfortunate but he has been a gem and loyal servant to the club thus far

This 'trash' is still one of the best strikers in the league and certainly one of the best forwards we've had at the club in recent times. His goals/game ratios are comparable to anyone in the game and if it wasnt for injuries he certainly would have gone into our record books.

Yes a transfer might be in the best interest of everyone but lets not forget all of this :

Sturridge has failed to evolve over the last 2 seasons so the current fab 4 took over and he's now surplus to requirements. Hopefully we'll continue to bring in players who'll play a greater part in winning the league once again.

Great debut. Commanding presence, shouting at our defenders and midfielders to get in position and looked amazing in the attack. The future is bright with VVD :buttrock

Very very happy with my man Virgil. Superb debut superb winner.....What a game to score aswel.

At the end look how happy he looked how much it meant. Captain material people were looking at our next captain.

Did well, in at the deep end.

He twice asked Karius to come out for the ball and I was worried he might get caught out by striker etc, but Karius is slower than a tortoise.just shows how we desperately need a new keeper

I liked they way he was taking charge at the back, barking orders at Karius, that's something we haven't seen with Lovren and Matip. Mind you I wonder if it will work with Migs
