Mane 2/10 today for messing that chance up that would have guaranteed us three points.

I wouldn't mind but we've been getting praised all week from all quarters about how unselfish our forwards are and then he goes and does that.

I'm just wondering maybe he kind of feels a little intimidated by Salahs form and feels he needs to catch up. Remember how Mane was our main man last season and now in respect Salah has overtaken him instantly.
Could be nothing really hmmmm...

Had Firminho had the chance Mane did today, he would have looked up and squared it. Mane has a few weaknesses to his game also.

I prefer my forwards to be greedy in front of goal and Mane is a sensational talent who if truth be known shaped that opportunity out of nothing  by chasing down the ball winning it and then showing some quite blistering pace to pull away from their defense,he had every right to try and put the gloss on his good work.

I mean Coutinho invariably shoots on sight when the opportunity arises ,even when there exists far better options in front of him.

Salah is the player Mane will become in a couple of years. He's just slightly better in every category. Do I think he's jealous that Salah has come in and done so well? I actually do abit, and I think the selfishness we saw yesterday was a example of that ..

When weighing the options it would have been better for the team had Mane passed the ball. 2-0 up we could have gone abd sealed the 3 points. The chance of scoring was far greater had Mane passed the ball rather than shooting with his weaker foot.
If we were already 2 or 3 nil up then i could possibly get it that he just wants to have a crack on goal.

However i think he will learn from that and next time when a similar scenario arises he will opt for the better option.

"We came into the dressing room and the whole team got up and gave him big hands," he told Sky Sports. "It's not the easiest time in this moment, it's not fluent, but scoring that goal shows pure class, so I am really happy about that."

Hopefully that goal will give him a spark and he regains his best form.

Bobby and Salah are our main scorers we also had Coutinho who chipped in well which eased things with Mane not firing.

However we really need him now to step up and starting scoring from time to time.

Mane form this season has been a complete opposite of last season.

He hasnt been the same since that miss vs Everton in the league derby at Anfield, the thing is we cant even rotate him at the moment as we don't have any players! lets just hope he can play himself into some form

I know he is better on thr left but is it just me or has he lost a little bit of pace since that knee injury he picked up lastvyear? Still really quick but just that initial burst seems to be missing
