Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

City are the side I'd prefer not to draw. It'll take a lot out of us while pushing for 4th while City have the luxary of having the league in the bag.

Well we have got a massive task ahead of us now considering we will face those pr1iks twice.

We need maximum points from our next 2 fixtures

Watford H
Palace A

I think during that period Spurs will face Chelsea.

A Spurs win or a draw, the important thing is for Chelsea not to win. If Chelsea don't win they will be 9/10 points behind us with only 7 games to go, they would pretty much need a miracle to finish in the top 4 from that position.
BTW it's 1-1 HT

Definitely would prefer a draw. Hope it stays like this since Spurs didn't look very much like scoring, if it weren't for an Eriksen long range goal they would have still been behind. Definitely wouldn't want a Chelsea win as it puts a bit of pressure back on us.

Race for the top 4 is over. Chelsea are never coming back into it. Full stop.

Spurs and Manure still have to play City. Think both will drop points before the end.

Hey anything can happen.

Top four looks assured now.

Tough week coming up now, with two champions league matches and the Derby. All must win games.

Top 4 looks done just in which order now, be nice to finish 2nd but wont lose sleep if we end up 4th.

Appreciate points to play for but only getting past City into Champs League semi could potentially distract us now.

Exactly this!
Game on Wednesday will mentally and physically take its toll...
So don't be surprised if JK plays the second string of players in the derby - so lets not be so critically of he does this on the weekend.
A derby is a derby... A CL 1/4 final is something else!
---
PLUS - The bitters have every reason to be bitter at the moment. So BIG SAM'S tactics on the weekend will be 'Let's kick 'em outa Goodison back to Anfield." With one of his ruthless kidult smiles to boot.
---
So it wouldn't surprise me IF we lost our next PL game and Chel$ki won theirs - which would mean race for top 4 would be back on for them.
---
Theres a long way to go and our run in will be an uphill task IF we are still fighting in the CL.
---
Over to you JK

I would take a draw in the Derby right now, bearing in mind the demands on our players physically over the next 10 days.
Wednesday is going to be Intense.

I agree a draw wouldn't be a bad result against Everton. Plenty of twist yet but i would like us to finish 3rd atleast even though it won't make much of a difference.
