Yup it has at the wrong time. I hate these futile international breaks. Another one i will hate it when we miss Mane in January.

Anyhow positives were in a good position and have time to prepare for the big match vs united.

We will be favourites to win all 4 games so I am going 12 points, if we take less than 10 its a dissapointment. I expect Klopp to have high expectations and so should we.

The international break has come at the right time to get Lallana fit and recover from the last few games. Its good news for the players when you play high tempo footy, it's not good for the fans....

You can say that again mate, there's another one of these stupid international breaks next month too. I could maybe understand the idea of them years ago when qualifying for major international tournaments was difficult but ever since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the break up of major players like the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia qualifying has become much, much easier. Just look at the group England have got now......Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Scotland and Malta....a decent championship side like Norwich or Newcastle would have a good chance of qualifying out of that group.
Wait till this proposed winter break kicks in in 2 or 3 years time as well, the season will be so stop/start it will be barely worth watching.

Worried about the Palace game especially with Benteke in decent form.

Yeah, I'm a bit uneasy about the Palace game.

Make no mistake, they will attempt to unsettle us by pressing and harrying the fk out of us, AND they won't be averse to lumping balls forward into our box for Benteke to get onto.

Palace -away (D)
Watford -home (W)
Soton- away (D)
Sunderland- home (W)

8 from 12

Benteke coupled with our defending at set plays has me concerned. Soton is a difficult place to go. What do I know tho?  :D

At least Bolaisse isn't at Palace anymore, he always seemed to play well against us.

It's written in the stars that he'll have a blinder against us and score a goal or two.

I'm going for:

Palace -away (D)
Watford -home (W)
Soton- away (w)
Sunderland- home (W)

I'll go for the above on any combination, just keep bringing us 10/12 points!

I'm going for the optimistic

17 Sep - Chelsea   vs  Liverpool    -  W
24 Sep - Liverpool vs Hull City      - W
01 Oct - Swansea  vs  Liverpool    - W
18 Oct - Liverpool  vs Man United - D

That was spot on !

Also agree with kewell with the following. Something about the Palace game finding me a bit uncomfortable (notably Benteke looking to prove himself after his departure)

Palace -away (D)
Watford -home (W)
Soton- away (W)
Sunderland- home (W)

These are an interesting set of fixtures. In previous seasons we would slip up in one or two of them so if we can turn that around and be 12 points better off this time then it will be a sure sign we are serious contenders for the league.
Even a return of 10 points would see us sitting comfortable.

I will go with 3 wins and an draw away to the saints.

If someone told me we'd be top of the league after 11 games having played Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Palace away as well as Man U, Leicester (the champions) I'd have laughed in their face.

If we do falter at Soton then we have Sunderland after so any lost momentum should be restored rather quickly. The only real blip on our record so far I would say is Spurs, we should have put that to bed. No real complaints about Burnley tho.
