His heart was never in it for us and just pleased the loan deal drawn up allowed
us to get shut early if it wasnt working out.

Be thankfull we didnt buy him out right as that would have been typical of us left
with another dud drawing big money and offering nothing in return.

Did he actually make an appearance after his smack on the snout? Did a broken nose finish him in English football haha?!

Skysports

Liverpool have ended Nuri Sahin's disappointing loan spell, allowing him to rejoin Borussia Dortmund.

The Turkey playmaker, 24, arrived at Anfield from Real Madrid in the summer but has struggled for form and failed to force his way into Brendan Rodgers first-team plans.

A statement on Liverpool's official website read: "Sahin arrived at Anfield for a season-long stay in August 2012, but will now spend the rest of the campaign with Borussia Dortmund, the side with whom he won the 2011 German championship."

Sahin will now return to Bundesliga champions Dortmund, where he signed youth terms in 2000 before agreeing a six-year contract to move to the Bernabeu in 2011.

With the likes of Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, Xabi Alonso and Luka Modric all ahead of him in the pecking order, Real manager Jose Mourinho authorised a season-long move to the Reds.

But despite erasing lingering doubts over a knee injury with three goals in his 12 games for Liverpool, Sahin has opted to jump ship once again.

He has rejoined Dortmund on loan until the summer of 2014 and is delighted to be back at his former club, saying: "I am happy to be home again.

"My contact with the club officials, players and coaches never stopped in the past year and a half. I hope I can quickly help the team."

his nose was broken against udinese if i remember correctly.
anyway good luck to him at dortmund, i think sahin is a bit like veron in the sense that he`s obviously a talented player but his game just doesnt suit the style of football played in this country.

I think it is not very fair to say that he has flopped. He has talent and scored some goals for us. Maybe he was not too interested in playing for LFC. He didn't seem to be giving 100%. At the same time 12 games or so is not enough to see whether he has really flopped or not.

Anyway it's better for both parties, his wages can now be used to pay for new players who are willing to play for us and succeed as a LFC player.

We could have easily been duped into paying 20+ million for Sahin, thank Christ it was just a loan!!

Bit smarter piece of business than our previous English acquisition's.

Well with cole off aswell thats a fair bit off the wage bill. They both need to be replaced, our squad is paper thin and theres no excuse now, the money is there. We need to add to the squad but it seems we bring one in and send 2 or 3 out and this only buying youth thing is worrying if ridgedly true.

Im very disappointed that he was allowed to leave, Sahin has 10 times more talent that Joe Allen or Henderson
