Yeah same here i feel FSG deserve credit for making this deal happen. They have so far backed Klopp well with transfers.

But there will still be those who on the one hand will complain that in the transfer mkt we don't "compete" and on the other hand, when we do compete, will start crying that we've spent too much  :p

No pleasing some people.

Well done FSG, they've shown massive belief in Klopp on this one .

I personally don't think the owners deserve heaps of credit for getting the Manager the players he wants.  :no Our defence is utter cack and costing us points and team progression so its not before time they did something about it.
If its the Fee that they spent then they deserve even less credit because its coming from player sales.
They passed on the opportunity to sign him a few years ago for 12 or 13 mil. Then they try to sign him after he signs a lengthy contract driving his price through the roof. Then we pay more than anyone anticipated so is it great business or the same old fools ?.

I don't care how much he costs and I am delighted to see him here. Klopp clearly wanted him and he wants to play for the man so he will run through brick walls for us. If anything fair play to Jurgen for sticking it out till he got his player  :nod

Maybe the reason we have just splashed 75m on one player is the fact that maybe the Coutinho to Barcelona transfer is a done deal!!?
Time will tell.

And I'd spend it all + 30m (90m) for Lemar from Monaco. Him and Keita lining up next season, is well tasty.

What utter garbage, these parasites have shown their true colours yet again this month.

Hiding behind Klopp so they don’t invest in our club is just another f**king embarrassment to add to their long list of failures.

8 years and 1 lousy cup.

EIGHT!

I despair at the lack of apathy within our “world famous” supporter fan base to boot these c**ts out of our club just like we did with the previous pair of drongos we had.

What the f**k will it take!

We need them out ASAP .. they are using the club to make money. They are not bothered about us winning trophies or keeping the fans happy.

They care about making money and buying £68m pound Super Yachts!!

Like you've stated this month has proved everything we need to know..  We had a chance of winning 2 cups and finishing 4th. We apparently had money to buy VVD in the summer but made a mess of it so it was a good excuse to buy him in January and pretend that's what the Coutinho money was spent on.

They use managers as scapegoats; invest little, make a lot, hope for a lucky roll of the dice (13/14), and when it all goes tits up, shaft the manager, rinse and repeat. As I’ve said before, they are afraid of success. They don’t want the pressure of being big players in the game - they’d rather sit back and make a tidy profit where any honours are just seen as a bonus. Klopp is not perfect, but with a different business model, implemented by owners who share the same passion for the game, we would stand a chance winning something and as a result become a bigger draw for top players who don’t end up leaving for spanish clubs later down the line when they realise we have no ambition.

I'm glad you see reality for what it is mate.

Here is something for the dim witted lemmings (that continually defend them) to ponder about FSG:

Net Spend under Hicks and Gillett
06/07: £15.6 million
07/08: £39.8 million
08/09: £6.2 million
09/10: -£8.6 million
TOTAL: £53 million
AVERAGE per season: £13.25 million

Net Spend under FSG
10/11: -£5.1 million
11/12: £35 million
12/13: £41 million
13/14: £20 million
14/15: £38 million
15/16: £28 million
16/17: -£6 million
17/18: - £28 million
TOTAL: £123 million
AVERAGE per season: £15.37 million

So in summary these tight-fisted, parasitic, cancerous scum have spent just £70million more than the previous pair of criminals that we had, but have been here four years longer! In context that is just £2 million more in net spend per season.   :help

And you wonder why we haven't won anything and no where near close to winning anything of note under them.  :no

The trouble is mate we've forgotten how to win.  Like Arsenal, Spurs and the others, we look good running round the pitch dead fast but we don't actually know why we're doing it.

Two men laying bricks on a site, a fella walks up to them and asks the first what he's doing. "Building a wall" he says. When he asks the second he replies "Building a cathedral".

Trouble is, we've been building the same wall since FSG arrived whereas Citeh have finished their cathedral.

Sorry fella, but that's bollox.

FSG wrote off £70m worth of club debt in 2017 alone. And that's before you look into the cash that FSG put into the £260m expansion of the stadium and regeneration of the local area.

They are not big money spenders, but they're no H&G.

May help if the owners met with fans and went through many concerns they have about their ambition and commitment to the project.

Not unreasonable to arrange that and whilst protest does help to a degree you have to sustain it, not cave in when we tonk someone but stick to your guns.

Klop fronts it all up but frankly is just an FSG employee and he is clearly not prepared to throw them under the bus.
