Karius will sit around as No2 until he drops another clanger away in the League Cup, better yet push for a loan and get out on full pay until contracts up, rebuild your career elsewhere.

Sometimes you got to be honest to yourself and employer, if your not good enough part ways, hes not good enough. Klopp is literally the only person in the world backng him apart from his own family.

How can fans be expected to see him between the stcks again after that, lifes hard and footballs unforgiving hence the large rewards.

It's OK saying give the Lad a second chance, but what if he does that again next season? , especially in a big match, shall we give him a third, fourth and fifth chance!?

Maybe give him the captaincy!

I called him out before the final, check history of this thread. In the semi. Final he let a shot from distance jo straight through his hand but it hit the crossbar, he was lucky , it was similar to Bales goal, poor technique. He also gave away a needless penalty but referees assistant wrongly called offside, he was at fault for another goal with a parry off a soft shot back down the centre instead of out side (Didi Hamann) could t believe it. He also made a weird attempt to save another goal when he ran towards the post instead of diving.

He was a disaster in the semi .

What was he thinking for the first goal, did he go blind?

He cost us the champions league and we will never win anything with him, he is terrible. I pointed all this out long before the final so it isn’t about one nightmare game. Klopp should have got rid of him long ago.

Mignolet and him are both disasters, sell both of them.

See, I called it.

If he caught the ball from the cross which looked straight forward really it wouldn't have been a goal. As for save from penalty kane hit it poorly simple as.  He's not good enough !!

If mere fans like us could see this just after the transfer window closed, you have to wonder why the huy paid millions a year looked at him and thought “we will win trophies with this guy in goals” , that decision by klopp cost him the chance to be a winner like Rafa. Rafa knew how to spot a good goalie, one season in the job and he bought Reina . How long is Klopp here and we have two clowns competing for the job?

If your going to commit outfield players into attack then it makes perfect sense you need a top class goalie to save your backside at times, Pep understood this immediately by binning Hart and whilst he made a mistake recruiting Bravo he quickly put it right with Emerson.

We are now in that very same position and the tears from Karius where in part a realisation his career at Liverpool would soon be over, our next signing needs to be a keeper and we are literally linked with everyone yesterday I read Jasper Cillessen Barcelona’s Dutch No 2.

The fact that we tried to get Alisson in January shows that if Klopp can make a significant improvement in the GK department he will. He just won't buy any old rubbish like Butlund and Hart. GK is one of if not the most diffcult position to buy for.

Bild are saying that the scans show that Karius was concussed during the final, to be honest I could well believe that because the first goal in particular was so bizarre that it's hard to believe that anyone who was fully compos mentis would do something like that.
The second goal was bad as well but I've seen keepers do that before, many times, that first one though was off the charts.

8 different scans have confirmed that he was suffering from concussion after the elbow off Ramos ,that said, it could have been a very different game if he had asked for treatment whilst on the pitch. So with hindsight ,it would have been better just staying down after the challenge.

Full doctors statement

Dr Ross Zafonte confirmed that Karius did get concussed in the collision, and that it 'could be possible that such deficits would affect performance'.

"After carefully reviewing game film and integrating a detailed history – including his reported present and immediate post-contact subjective symptoms – physical examination and objective metrics, we have concluded that Mr. Karius sustained a concussion during the match May 26, 2018," the statement says.

"At the time of our evaluation, Mr. Karius’s principal residual symptoms and objective signs suggested that visual spatial dysfunction existed and likely occurred immediately following the event. Additional symptomatic and objectively noted areas of dysfunction also persisted. It could be possible that such deficits would affect performance.

"We also note that Mr. Karius has reported significant and steady improvement since the concussive event, and we expect him to make a full recovery based on the results of the examination. We expect that with treatment and by following prescribed activity protocols he will continue to improve. We have encouraged vigilance and an emphasis on safety in his eventual return to full activity."

So it's concussion to blame now for the amateur mistakes in the final now is it!?? Nothing to do with basic skills like focus and concentration in a game!
:D

Stop trying to defend this clown. Garbage, end of!

It wouldn't surprise me if he was concussed after that elbow but coming out with that excuse now isn't helping matters as if he wasn't right then he should have put his hand up and come off. If not after the incident then a few minutes later but carrying on with an injury that affected his game and cost us a final doesn't paint him in a better light.

He needs to accept that he dropped 2 absolute clangers and man up.

He is making himself looking even more ridiculous now, at this late stage saying he was concussed. The second howler was identical to the howler in the semis (but the crossbar saved him) .

Against Roma he had the above error, then gave away a peno (and possible red card) but the assistant wrongly called offside , parried an easy shot back into the centre for another goal, and then ran towards the far post instead of diving for Roma’s second last goal.

Does he get concussed before every game ?

LASt year Carra told him to shut up and practice his goalkeeping , he has consistently been terrible. They may need to make up this B.S to give him confidence that it wasn’t his fault but it won’t stop him being krap. Before the game there was lots of talk about him being a weak link and costing us , this was for a reason.

Hate to give Alex Ferguson credit but I remember him dropping Jim Leigton after his ***** ups in the FA cup final and he didn’t play the replay. One of the reasons Ferguson won trophies.
