If he thinks he's too good for the club he can f*ck off.

I don't think he thinks he's too good for us mate, imo this is about playing time, he hasn't really been a nailed on starter since Brendan used him in a back 3 and with Keita due to arrive next summer there's going to be a hell of lot of competition for places in the midfield.
I think Emre is prepared to sign a new deal with us but he also wants an escape hatch in the form of a low-ish buy out clause in case it looks like he is going to spend the best years of his career sitting on the bench.

Just put a reasonable buy-out clause into his contract and be done with it.

No massive loss if we have to sell him, as he is low down the pecking order when Keita arrives next year.

Better losing him for 30 to 40m, than not get anything if he leaves at the end of this season.

I think that's about right Yakka.

Give him what he wants and get rid of Henderson. Two problems solved at once.

As mentioned, Can has a higher ceiling than Henderson. Hendo is a dependable player but doesn't have that edge to his game, something which I can see Can develop. Can over Hendo for me to

Personally I don't think Henderson is going anywhere and that includes the bench! Klopp seems to have a lot of time for the lad. Let's face it until his untimely tackle when he got sent off in the City game it could be argued that he was one of the key reasons why we didn't win the league. That's how integral Henderson was that team at the time.  He was desperately missed in those last three vital games of the season when we very nearly won the league. He is growing into the position of captain and Klopp certainly seems to like what he sees.

His goal was good and to be fair he played quite well. I personally don't rate him high but i felt he done quite well tonight.

Frustrating player. When he is good, he looks a real standout player and you think he could go on and become a top player. However when he is bad, his whole.game seems to go and your left thinking it's not going to be a big loss if he leaves. Consistency is a massive issue with him

Couldn't give a flying fook if he stays or goes.

He's nowhere near the level he thinks he is.
