Domestic cups?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Do you think that we should put the domestic cups to the back of the queue and concertrate on the league and CL, personally I'd be happy with 2/3 and get to the quarters of the CL (for the money) as we have to remember that it's Benitez' first season.

With us in the CL i like to see the League Cup or whatever they call it now be used to blood and trial the youngsters
Though still like to see a good effect in the FA Cup

the fa cup is still a massive competition although i do believe it has been somewhat devalued over recent years. the league cup is definitely a chance to play the likes of potter, warnock, welsh, sinama, otsemobor etc.

I agree that these 2 cups are not as important as the main 2, however theres nothing like that Cardiff feeling and winning a cup, so i hope we do take them serious, so i can meet some of you guys in Cardiff  :D

Wining things breeds confidence which is some thing we seem often desperatly short of. Bieng realistic the Prem & Chapmions League are way out of our reach :( Winning the FA cup would be a very nice start to the Rafalution. :)

I agree with Laza that Rafa should give the youngsters a go in the league cup. It would give him a chance to see who can really compete against some of the top players.

Let's go for the lot. Remember the old Shankley attitude, that playing games is the best form of training.:)

Not sure why we should be making choices this early, particularly when the league is slipping away already.

If the youngsters are good enough then play them if senior players aren't producing the goods *cough Kewell cough* :)
