DEJAN LOVREN - Official thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Big Niall » Sun May 06, 2018 11:11 pm

With Roma 5-0 down , Lovren screws up to gift a goal and give them hope, then next game he kicks the ball into Milner’s face for an O.G , also lucky not to give away a peno, created panic every time the ball was in our box and lunges into tackles when attacker is going nowhere (like Everton peno) , today he was beaten again in the air for the goal , was also out muscled by Eden F-Ing Hazard.

Worst centre back I’ve ever seen LFC have as a regular.

And I thought you English were bad with your ill timed “it’s coming home” song.

https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/i-am-one-of-the-world-s-best-says-lovren

Can someone tell this flog to keep his mouth shut?

We didn’t win anything this season and Croatia hasn’t won the World Cup yet. Best in the world......what a troll.

His played his part to take club and country to finals but yeah i agree he is going a wee over the top. Dejan just focus on stopping Greizmann, Pogba, Mbappe and co.

His defending was woeful against Huddersfield and how he got away with that ridiculous flick he tried is still a mystery, but the biggest mystery is why he's been stepping in for Gomez ?

Jurgen has to keep everyone happy. That's also the reason for the surprise Lallana cameo on Saturday

Matip is miles ahead of him and if healthy should be getting the nod.

Didn't think he looked a lot better today either.  Prone to rash challenges and completely lost his man for the goal.

Although I agree he looked shaky and made a couple of errors that were bailed out by Virgil I cannot blame him for the goal as the ball took a wicked deflection. My first thought was it was his mistake but the replay clearly shows a crazy deflection.

Yeah, not a lot could have been done for the goal, but Lovren is still a liability in my eyes. Good enough for a back-up player though, definitely.

Not blaming him entirely for the goal as Milner and Moreno allowed Hoilett through. He crossed and it did deflect off Virgil but Lovren then switches off. Didn't think the deflection was that bad tbh and Lovren still had time to react.

Actually I watched the goal again and you are right. He stops running as soon as the ball is deflected and tries to stop the player from running past him by putting his arm out to grab him. He made a couple of other errors in the match but VVD bailed him out. I absolutely prefer Gomez.

The doubters might want to re-read this post....

Lovren is always prone to a brain fart period.
