Hillsborough remembrance and related information

Postby shanks72 » Sun May 31, 2009 7:57 pm

Maybe a bit late to post this but....

I saw some of the memorial service on tv and felt for all the families that were there.

Ciggy's article really brings home the horror of that day.... very very sad..

Whenever I think of Hillsborough, I'll think of Tony Bland... whose plight I only saw on tv. But his story was very tragic too.

(David Moyes was also at the memorial service and I think this was a nice jesture on his part).

I've just joined this forum and it's only right i stop by here and pay my respects.

Such a terrible day. I was a 9 year old lad in a Manchester comprehensive when this tragedy happened. I remember it like it was only yesterday. My prayers will always remain with the Families and with those present that awful day who still bare the scars, Both physically and emotionally. Absolutely terrible. R.I.P to those 96 innocent souls. You'll never walk alone. And you'll never be forgotten.

I'd like you to all know that 99.9% of Manchester people (even the reds) stand shoulder to shoulder with you on this. And those that don't simply don't matter anyway.

God Bless:;):

RIP, all 96 of you :(

even through the bad times you're never forgotten
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

on this night 21 years ago 96 fans took to their bed with the love of liverpool with them and the excitement of seeing their team in the Semi-Final in the morning, they never made it back to their beds but the love from their club and the rest of us fans will always be with them.

RIP Marion Hazel McCabe

God bless all the 96
