yeah oasis were a good band but they never really kicked on.
i suppose thats the problem with having one talented songwriter in a band, he has no one to bounce idea`s off and more importantly compete with, so the later songs lacked the soul of the likes of live forever and take me away.
i dont think the songs were produced to cleverly either, that distortion pedal - overdriven type rock sound doesnt have to form the basis of every song, after a while its hard to distinguish were one song ends and another begins.
they needed a george martin.

gotta add in iron maiden and black sabbath, as well as sublime.I also have to add in the clash and the sex pistols to iggy pop and david bowie. Jimi Hendrix should be added to the list aswell
