great books... back on subject.. anything by Dan Brown, especially The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons.. Fantastic and food for thought as well!!!!

I read Bobby Robsons Autobiography a few years back, I agree it's great hearing about the way players used to train and the things all powerful chairman did.

I enjoyed Keane
Total git but he doesnt hide from that and if he layed for us definite cult hero

Paisley had some good points and the interesting thing was his honesty as we all have rose tinted glasses but he wasnt scared to talk about our frailties and the team spirit

is this any old book?
if so michael marshall smith is a great writer. also wirtes as michael marshall for crime.
if sports book, then i dunno. dont read autobiographies sorry.

Tony Cascarino`s book is a fantastic read,brutally honest.If your looking for novels i can recommend two fantastic books by a frenchman called michael Houellebecq-Atomised,and Platform,both classics.Richard Ford,"the sporswriter" and its sequel "independence day"(nothing to do with aliens btw),"day of the jackal" by frederick forsyth is the greatest thriller ever written,"papillon" an unbelievable true story about a man`s thirty years in a Caribbean prison island written by Henri Charriere i think.Alex Garland-the beach,Tom Wolfe-bonfire of the vanities,Jimmy Burns-Barca(incredible footy book),John Irving-world according to Garp(one of the funniest and best books ever written)Nelson Mandela-Long walk to freedom(you wont regret reading it),if you like travel than i would recommend anything by Paul Theroux,Anne Rice-interview with a vampire is one of the best horror`s ever,Donna Tart-secret history,Brett easton ellis-american Psycho,hey i could go on but they are the ones that come to mind.

You've read Michael Houellebecq?

The two of them are great books, although very, very perverted.

He's got a newish book out Greenred, called Lanzarote, which is in the same vein as the other two, although its really only a novelette, as it clocks in at under 100 pages.

Platform and Atomised start out as major sleaze fest and you're thinking "Is this a trashy porn novel I'm reading?" but they always come good, and both have very sad endings.

I've also read the Donna Tart book you mentioned, as well as American Pyscho (absolutely ferocious stuff :oh:

) by Brett Easton Ellis, and Alex Garland's The Beach.
